Historically known as ''The Studio'' this is a quiet retreat cottage nestled in a private forest garden a short walk to East Sandwich Beach. It is ideal for writing, reflection, art making, and enjoying the natural beauty.

There is a ground floor entrance with living room, writing and work space, open kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom with queen-sized bed. Kitchen has gas stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, and basic kitchenware such as coffeemaker, pots/pans, dishes, and silverware. Includes wireless Internet, window AC, bed linens, towels. All of the furnishings have been freshly updated and decorated with artwork from local artists.

East Sandwich Beach is a 15-min walk; a few miles down the road is Sandy Neck Beach, Scorton Creek, Titcomb's Bookshop, walking trails, lobster rolls, good coffee, and places to learn about local history.

Open this summer for 1-2 people.

Weekly rentals run from Saturday to Saturday. Discounts available for longer stays.

    I'm a writer & artist and recently moved back to this longtime family place. My family are locals and my grandparents used to have a bunch of summer cottages and farm here. They lived here year round and were always excited to see who would be coming in the summertime. This is one of the last cottages left.

    I have lived a lot of places and am back home now, living in the house next door, tending to the gardens. My intention is to offer this humble place as a refuge for creative spirits in the same kind of friendly, relational ways my grandparents did. Happy to share in the local knowledge and help you have an inspired stay.
