This family friendly rental is set in a beautiful quiet neighborhood with plenty of free parking available. The large lawn and back deck give plenty of space for some outdoor fun and relaxation.

Less than a mile from town, walking distance to the lagoon with walking trails across the street you will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place.

The first floor of the property contains the kitchen, dining area, living room, half bath, master bedroom with has a split king adjustable bed and master bathroom. The second floor has one bedroom containing a king bed, a full bathroom with a tub, the washer/dryer and another bedroom containing 2 XL Twin beds and a crib.

There is a second rental unit in the basement of the property where a lovely quiet family of three lives year round. They have their own separate entrance and the only shared space is in the driveway where they take the two parking spaces to the left of the driveway looking at the house from the road.

Across the street from the property is a new boardwalk leading to a quiet wooded path that brings you to a small beach quiet at ''Lagoon Pond'', right next to the shellfish hatchery. There are approximately 20 stair steps taking you down to the water. Lagoon Pond is a beautiful quiet place with Vineyard Haven on one side and Oak Bluffs on the other, it is salt water with large drawbridge separating if from outer Vineyard Haven Harbor. It is perfect for swimming, boating and kayaking. The water tends to be a few degrees warmer than the open ocean as well!

    I built this house (my dream home) two years ago in my childhood neighborhood where I have lived for almost my entire life. I am a single dad who owns a small property management business on the island where we do caretaking and landscaping work.

    What is special about this property?
    This property was built in December of 2021 so everything is virtually brand new. Great stainless steel appliances, a Traeger Grill/Smoker on the large back deck. The open concept keeps the whole family together in a cozy living room but the large bedrooms give everyone the personal space they need as well.

    What is special about your town?
    The property is a 6 minute drive to the Steamship Authority Terminal in downtown Vineyard Haven and only a 10-15 minute drive to both downtown Edgartown and Oak Bluffs. While being so centrally located it is in a beautiful, quiet and family friendly neighborhood. There is a small sheep farm at the top of the main road, a tiny goat farm on the private road. Right across the street there are beautiful quiet walking paths through the woods that head down to the Lagoon with a small beach next to the shellfish hatchery.
