The Queen room and Twin room are on the second floor with a full bath room, all with new linens. The laundry is in basement. There's a nice sunny deck in the back yard with outside dining table and grill. This home is centrally located, a perfect location and get-away destination for family or friends. It's beautifully furnished, bright and clean, and the back yard is private; a nice retreat from the hustle and bustle of the times, within walking distance to Main Street/town, public transportation, library, tennis courts, Lake Tashmoo boat dock, Steamship ferry & beach. Mink Meadows public golf course within 2 miles.

    Great house in a great location

    We just returned from a week in this lovely house. The pictures do not do it justice. The location is a couple of blocks from Main Street, Vineyard Haven (about an 8 minute walk) and is perfect to leave your car and avoid the traffic to town for dinner, ice cream, or shopping. The location is very quiet though. There is a school next door that has a playground too.

    The house has three bedrooms, one with a king bed and full bath on the first floor off of the back deck, and two smaller ones upstairs with a full bathroom (one has two twin beds and the other a full). All bedrooms have AC in them.

    The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and there is a gas grill on the deck too. The layout is great for families. The dining area has a sofa and chair with TV separate from the living room which worked well for having conversations without trying to talk over a TV. There is washer and dryer in the basement.

    Furnishing/decor are older but very clean and very comfortable. The kids LOVED the outdoor shower!

    The owners were a dream to work with and very quick to respond to questions. The house does include towels and linens - one of my first questions! There is off-street parking.

    Barbara & Alan are both native islanders who's families have called Martha's Vineyard home for multiple generations. We haven't listed this house for a couple of years therefore there are no current reviews.

    What is special about this property?
    This home is quaint, bright, clean, and quiet. It is located two blocks from the center of town, and the MV ferry.

    What is special about your town?
    The Town of Tisbury is centrally located on the island. This property I'd a five minute walk to public transportation, and 10 minutes walk to Lake Tashmoo/ tennis courts. Owners have 2 kayaks available for use on the pond.
