Everything that Martha’s Vineyard has to offer will be at your fingertips: the shops and restaurants of Vineyard Haven, the ferry terminal from Woods Hole, several public beaches, countless walking or running trails, public tennis and pickle ball courts, and more — and all accessible by foot or bike if you don’t want to bring a car.

The house itself is on a half an acre of land off of a private road, so you can retreat into the quiet and beauty of nature, while also being close to all the action. The house has a post-and-lintel structure, giving it the feeling of a modern chalet with exposed wood beams. The first floor has one bedroom that can be either organized with two twin beds or one king bed; one bathroom with a washer and dryer and stall shower; a kitchen equipped with a new stainless-steel refrigerator, gas stove, and dishwasher; a dining area by a bay window; and a living room with a cozy L-shaped couch and smart television (with access to all streaming platforms). You now step out of the living room onto a completely new, sprawling 250 sq. ft. mahogany deck so you can spend time relaxing or eating outside. The second-floor suite has an oversize bedroom under triple-height gabled ceilings with a queen-sized bed and a desk area if you are working-from-home, a cozy reading nook at the top of the stairs, and a bathroom with a bathtub and shower. <br /> <br /> Perfect for any season given its location, you can come for vacation or work remotely for a long weekend or a few weeks in the Fall, Winter, or Spring; and/or you can do the same in the Summer or decide to settle for a month or two. read more show less

    Maggie's place was the perfect spot to call "home" for our week stay in Martha's Vineyard. The location is splendid - a very shot drive (maybe 2 mins) to downtown Vineyard Haven, yet set away on a quiet road surrounded by woods. The home itself was very clean and accommodating. Maggie was incredibly responsive to any questions we had and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and taken care of during our stay. Highly recommend!

    We had a lovely 5 night stay at Maggie and Fred's place. The cozy description says more about the overall vibe of the home than it does the space -- which is more than enough for 2-4 adults. Sitting outside on the deck under the cover of what feels like a deep forest was just what this writer and her explorer husband needed. If you're looking for a cozied-in stay, with the inspiration that the beauty of Martha's Vineyard flora offers - this is your spot. Book it now

    Wonderful Cozy Cottage

    We absolutely loved this cottage and would return any time we can. So quiet and peaceful, and in a great location about a mile from the main shopping area and harbor in Vineyard Haven. All the amenities were wonderful. And the service from the owners was prompt and helpful. We look forward to coming back!

    Hello! Fred and I (Maggie) split our time between Brooklyn, NY and Martha's Vineyard, and absolutely love both communities. I consult for cultural institutions and Fred consults for biotechs, so we are able to largely work remotely. On the island, we love to hike along the many trails, swim in the ocean, take bike rides, explore the arts venues, eat fresh fish and seafood, and overall just enjoy the tranquility and splendor of the island. We would love share our beloved cottage with you!

    What is special about this property?
    We love that the cottage is nestled in the woods, but within steps of the water and the town. There is so much within walking and biking distance, without ever needing a car. We also love the post and lintel architecture of the house, and find it so cozy for any season.

    What is special about your town?
    Vineyard Haven is our favorite town on Martha's Vineyard. It is charming, vibrant, and convenient. We love the boutiques, the variety of coffee and food options, the proximity to the ferry, and the accessibility to the rest of the island.
