Nicely appointed house - kitchen was well equipped with much "higher than usual" level equipment and pans, etc. Very convenient to anything you want to do on the Cape - and there's a LOT to do. Setting was lovely overlooking a scenic pond. Large back yard - the dogs LOVED it. We spent a lot of time on the porch hanging out, having dinner, playing games, and the deck off the Master provides a quiet space. Suzanne was very responsive and friendly. Highly recommend for your next stay on the Cape!

We can't say enough positive things about Scudder House! As we approached on a busy, main road I could feel my heart sink, but when we turned into the long driveway I couldn't have been more pleased. Complete tranquility greeted us! We couldn't even hear the road. The house fit our family of 5 with room to spare and was just as advertised. We enjoyed the screened in porch every single day. We walked to Hyannisport and biked to Craigville Beach.Suzanne was an ideal host, humoring my list of questions with clear, prompt communication. Suzanne's home not only meets but exceeds expectations.
The home is spacious and well equipped. She has thought of everything from having a well equipped kitchen to having all the beach essentials.(chairs, boogie boards, coolers)
The kitchen has everything you need to cook your meals and bake desserts.
The living room is spacious, the porch is a great place to have a meal or just enjoy the view of the pond and the balcony off the master bedroom is a great place to lounge.
The beds are very comfortable and the bedrooms have everything from extra blankets and pillows to great place to store your clothing
Suzanne has included a lot of extras that make your stay special.

Suzanne and Dave were wonderful hosts. While there are properties in close proximity, there is a sense of seclusion. Back yard is fenced in and there are trees along perimeter with the pond. One of my 5 pound yorkies could escape in this tiny gap by the gate, however, its very well fenced in. There weren't any insects but there is a screened in porch. Loved the walk in shower, full washer/dryer, soft linens, well appointed kitchen. TV reception was great...did not recycle once. House was very clean and no musty/mildew smell. I did not use the A/C. Neither the android or iphone had very good reception.

We had such a nice vacation here. The house was the perfect size and layout for our family of 5 (2 adults, 2 kids and our dog). The master suite has a lovely roof deck that overlooks the lake and is a great spot for stargazing and watching the sunset. Local beaches are 5 minutes away and also great for the kids. The house is well-equipped with anything you might need for cooking, baking and beach time. Suzanne and David had great recommendations for places to walk and beaches to visit. They were extremely responsive to any questions we had. Overall, a lovely spot that we hope to return to next year! show more show less

We rented this home for a week in August. We were set to start right as Hurricane Ida hit New England. The owner, David, accommodated our concerns and handled the situation terrifically.

The home is set way back from the road making for a quiet retreat. David was great in accommodating our desire to bring our family dog. The best part of the property is the porch looking out at a pond on the edge of the property. While you can't swim in the pond, we used our paddle board. The fenced in yard was great for getting our dog time outside without worry. The shed in the yard has lots of beach chairs, umbrellas and knee boards for the beach. The house met our needs in space and comfort. The kitchen has an upscale stove/griddle allowing us to make some great breakfasts.

Downtown Hyannis, the Kennedy compound and the music tent are all within walking distance. All in all a nice vacation for us and we would rent from David again. show more show less

Due to travel sports, we were scrambling to find a rental last minute...and one that considered dogs! We found this house and were surprised that the one week we could go was available.

Communication with David was so timely and helpful. The house is beautiful! It is in a nice Hyannis location away from the hustle and bustle, but not too far from things to do! The huge fenced in porch was our favorite spot to eat and relax...and our dog's too!

There is a pond at the tip of the yard, but it def needs to be cut back to enjoy some fishing; We did see a few swans that were beautiful though! The front yard is laid out so nicely with a fire pit and table/chairs, but the temps were quite warm to enjoy...Fall would be amazing here!

Everything in the house was beautiful...spacious, very clean/new and modern! David was great to work with throughout and got our deposit right away as well! We definitely recommend this house to anyone wanting to stay in Hyannis! show more show less
