Waterfront on Sengekontacket Pond, close to State Beach - This rustic waterfront cottage sits on Sengie Pond and has a deck with incredible views of the pond, State Beach, and and the Vineyard Sound. The cottage is next to the public landing if you wish to drop a small boat in the water. Sleeps up to six people and is minutes from the bike path, State Beach, or downtown Edgartown. Parking for 2 cars on premises is included. Distance to State Beach 2.4 miles, Edgartown Harbor 2.4 miles, Airport 6.5 miles, Oak Bluffs 5.5 miles, Vineyard Haven 6.2 miles.

The cottage is small, but includes a kitchen, a single small bathroom with a shower/tub, an additional outdoor shower, 2 decks for relaxing, and a side yard. Two small Bedrooms are located on the main floor, and the loft has 2 additional beds and the second small porch.

Amenities include washer, dryer, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, hi-speed internet, TV, phone, a BBQ grill, board games, and beach reads - and linens are provided (sheets, pillows, blankets).

    Awesome rental, great host

    I stayed here last August and it is a perfect little spot. Doug is an awesome owner and very responsive. The location is beautiful but also extremely convenient for food and beach access. You really couldn't ask for a better rental and host.

    Perfect Summer Cottage - The cottage was in the perfect location! The views are amazing! Doug was great! He answered all of my questions and was very responsive. My family and I had a wonderful time and would definitely rent the cottage again!

    A perfect summer cottage!
    We had a great time at this cottage, the views are truly amazing! Enjoying coffee in the morning on the back porch and feeling the ocean breeze was awesome. Doug is very responsive and takes great care of the property. We look forward to visiting the house again!!

    Clean, well-organized, incredible view
    The house is in a perfect location, close to Edgartown (we biked there regularly) as well as an easy bike ride to State Beach and Oak Bluffs. Situated on a beautiful pond, it was lovely for canoeing as well. There was a problem with the septic system, but Doug got it fixed immediately and reimbursed us for the inconvenience. I do hope to stay there again!

    Classic Cape Beach Cottage
    Our family of 5 (2 teens and 1 younger child) has been coming to this cottage for several years now and absolutely love it! The cottage is clean and well cared for - the owners seem to make improvements each year. The owners are always very responsive and accommodating. You can't beat the location - can easily bike to the beach, grocery store, downtown, etc. If you enjoy the feel of a true beach cottage and amazing views, this is the place for you!

    Long time cottage owner and vacationer of the island. Been coming here every summer since childhood. Very responsive both before and during rental (if anything is required - easy access to caretaker, island suggestions, etc.). Please do contact me with any questions. Always open to improvement suggestion of the cottage; seems like never ending fall and spring projects! Added side patio and sprinkler system last fall.

    What is special about this property?
    Porch that overlooks Sengie Pond and salt marsh - morning coffee, afternoon cocktails, dinner on porch - my favorite place. Ability to see State Beach and know when to leave for the beach while there are still parking spots. Grilling out fresh swordfish on the grill, with, of course, a cocktail in my hand. Bathroom is small (a future project), but the outdoor shower is what most folks use. Thinking about adding a 1/2 bath on upper level.
