We have stayed on MV in 8 different homes, and this was the most appealing because of its location, solitude, and is very clean and loaded with amenities. The deck is enormous and comes in handy when you want to simply sit out very close to the trees and daydream. The house is deceptively large and has lots of rooms for basic storage. This is good for those very active people (us) who bring lots of exercise clothes. Sleeping accommodations were excellent and as a light sleeper I appreciated how easily I adapted to the bed. Let's face it -- sometimes when you are away from home, a new bed can be challenging and you toss and turn till the sun up comes up.

In brief, a very nice get away spot and I cannot think of much I could have wanted -- of course, more time that would have been nice. Hopefully, that day is right around the corner

We were sorry to leave this wonderful home today. We had a great time. The house had everything one could ask for, most impressive. Very clean, well appointed, so nice to come home to after a day out shopping, bike riding or anything else you might have done during the day. I could go on and on but if you truly want a lovely vacation home to stay in STAY IN THIS ONE.

Words cannot begin to describe the special place in my heart that I have for the couple that rented to us. I had been searching for a rental during August for months, with no luck for my price range. The owners were so nice and reached out to us after their initial agreement was cancelled. It was a match made in Heaven! We rented the home at a discounted rate with vehicle ferry ticket! The best deal of the summer. The location was so perfect, biking/jogging/car riding distance from local shops, restaurants, and downtown Edgartown. I came with a family of 4,but the place could easily fit about 6 comfortably; it was huge. Great kitchen, with all the amenities for a trip. The deck area was great for grilling and enjoying the evening. Although we spent most of our time exploring the island, I loved returning to the rental for relaxation. The most amazing week on the island: Agricultural Fair, Illumination Night, and Fireworks display at Ocean Park (not to mention the First Family was there privately). Will definitely be looking into this rental for next year. show more show less

The house had everything we could possibly need! The kitchen was well equipped, the washer and dryer were handy and the deck was a wonderful place to relax! The beds and furniture were comfy too. The house even had a little lunch bucket that was perfect to take sandwiches on our fishing trip, and we pulled out the fun family games in the house to play on those rainy days. This was our first visit to Martha’s Vineyard, and the owners Mike and Elyse were so helpful with directions, suggestions and information! It was evident that they took great care and were very thoughtful in making sure their guests have a great stay. We loved our stay. The house is well equipped, the beds were comfortable, and it is very well located. We would love to go back next year. (We were a family of 5 traveling with the grandparents.)

We've rented this home for the past two years and absolutely love it! It's clean, tastefully decorated, and a great location - just one mile outside of Edgartown center. We rented it for both family vacations and a girls getaway. The owners couldn't be nicer and are extremely responsive. We can't wait to go back again next year.

This is our second year staying at this wonderful home. My family feels so comfortable and relaxed here. The house is in a perfect location down a quiet and cozy dirt road. The house is kept immaculate, it is neat, clean and spacious. The owners are wonderful people who are very responsive and accommodating. We want to come back every summer. I said to my husband - "when I step off of that ferry and into this home, all of the stresses in life disappear." We can't wait to return next summer!

It's been almost 20 years since I have visited MV and I was a bit nervous about booking the right house, in the right location and having to potentially deal with ferry tickets...Michael and Elyse could not have made this experience any easier. I clearly had other rental options, but it was their personal attention, advice and ease of working with them ensured me and my family had once of our best vacations ever! We looked forward to coming home from the beach, biking or kayaking and enjoying all the amenities. I have never seen a vacation home so clean and so well stocked with everything you might need! The house is also very close to Downtown Edgartown, but you can easily get to South Beach and Oak Bluffs or watch a MV Sharks baseball game right down the road. What a fantastic and comfy home to rent. We stayed for 2 weeks and could not be any happier. This home is spacious and quiet. Whether you are looking to relax outside for a BBQ on the beautiful deck or prepare a home cooked meal in the fully equipped kitchen, you win either way! There is a nice long driveway that provides plenty of privacy and traffic noise does not exist :)
The owners are beyond accommodating. They are quick to answer emails and phone calls. They genuinely want to make your experience at their home a memorable one!
Downtown Edgartown is only about a 20 minute walk. We will definitely be booking next summer! show more show less
