Welcome to the Salty Meadow!

Tucked inside a 200 year old Three-Quarter Cape House built in 1820, we have 2 bedroom unit, complete with one shower/bathroom, newly renovated, new furniture, and fully furnished kitchen, gas stove and a dishwasher. Our bedrooms have a queen-sized bed and full-sized bed. The bedrooms and the main living/dining area have air-conditioning. Coming in after a fun day at the beach, no worries we have a wonderful outdoor shower for you to rinse off the sand.

You will have exclusive access to the front of the house outdoor area which is equipped with a large picnic table, and a grill for your outdoor dining pleasure. We have a fire pit in the meadow and welcome you come out back and enjoy the meadow should you be interested.

We are just a stone's throw away from the only vineyard on the Cape, ''Truro Vineyards.'' and minutes away from breathtaking beaches--both on the Bay side as well as the Atlantic side. Great restaurants and small shops within walking and short-driving distance. Easy access to 6A and the CRTA for a bus into Provincetown or Wellfleet, and simple on/off from Route 6. Purchase of local beach passes is super easy, and we are happy to provide further information about how/where at your request.

We are dog-friendly, but require that dogs are well behaved/socialized and remain on leash on the property. We askk that you clean up after your pups and are not left unattended unless they are safely crated or contained in a small safe area.

Please note: your stay will be on a property that has 2 other owner-occupied units. Yes, this home has been subdivided into three properties. You will be our only guests; we do not rent our other units. If you are seeking additional space, we can accommodate an additional 2 people upstairs (at an additional charge), but ask that no children or dogs stay upstairs. Access to our loft is on the back of the house via separate staircase. We are in the process of renovating the upstairs space, so no pictures are available at this time.

When we are on Cape, we are quiet, discreet and respectful of our guest privacy. We do have two large dogs who are trained and leashed and will stay out of your way while you are visiting with us.

    Absolute perfection all around!

    I don't even know where to start! Should I talk about how perfectly appointed the rental was? Should I talk about what a fabulous location it's in? Or should I just gush about how much we adored the owners of the rental? From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, our vacation was amazing. We walked into the cleanest rental I have ever seen that was appointed with every amenity we could have needed on our trip. The owners style was reflected throughout with perfect furniture, comfortable beds, nice linens and fresh clean towels and all of the other things that a renter notices right away. But more importantly than that, the owners welcomed our small children with more than open arms! And even more than that, they welcomed our anxious and nervous dog. They couldn't have possibly been more accommodating and helpful during our stay. Their recommendations for beaches, activities and restaurants were spot on. The rental has everything you need for a perfect vacation, including a private yard in the front to relax and have drinks at the end of a long day.     Perfect Cape Vacation

    This was my family's first visit to Cape Cod, and having a home base at the Salty Meadow made it a perfect experience. The space is gorgeous and well-appointed, and yet simultaneously suitable for a 7 year old to spread out legos and toys! The rooms are cozy, the kitchen has everything you need, the outdoor shower is heaven and the views from nearly ever window are just so lovely.

    Virginia and Becky are warm, incredibly responsive hosts. I highly recommend the Salty Meadow as a Cape Cod stay (as long as you don't book during the week I'm planning to lock in every summer from now until forever). show more show less

    Virginia and Rebecca have long loved Cape Cod, especially the Outer Cape. We have been vacationing here for over 20+ years. Last year, we fulfilled our lifelong dream of owning our very own place in Truro. With professional backgrounds in Advertising, Hospitality and Marketing, we have taken the time to think through what the guest experience may be like for people who are looking for a home away from home.

    What is special about this property?
    We are nestled into 1.3 acres with access to wonderful outdoor space. We have done our best to think through what it would be like to come stay in our home. We thought through the guest experience--wanting to make sure you feel welcomed, comfortable and can easily settle into your space. We have great on-site parking, and even extra spot for another car. We're in walking distance of the only vineyard of the Cape and the shortest drive to Provincetown in one direction and Wellfleet in the other.

    What is special about your town?
    We are in North Truro which is offers easy access to 6A. Just a short drive to the most amazing Atlantic-side beaches: Head of the Meadow, Ballston, and Longnook. If Bayside if more your speed then in equal measure we have Corn Hill and Cold Storage awaiting you on the Bay.
