Welcome to Avocet's Nest, a beautifully renovated 3 bedroom, 2 bath in the heart of Truro's bayside Shearwater neighborhood. Enjoy exclusive access to a private association beach. The beach is just steps down the road and offers stunning sunsets over the Bay.

The home offers a unique split-level design with the master suite on the main level, open living and dining area on the upper level and two additional bedrooms and a bathroom on the lower level. Both of these bedrooms are fully furnished with queen beds. You can easily access the back yard and enclosed outdoor shower from the lower level.

The master suite has a king bed and features cathedral ceilings, a large walk-in closet and private deck. Enclosed by mature trees and bushes, this deck is a nice private outdoor space in the summer. The master bath is fully renovated with a walk-in tiled shower.

The upper level of the home is a beautiful open living area which opens onto the south-facing deck. Large windows and a slider allow natural light to flood the room, and you can take in pleasant water views of the pond and bay in the distance. The large deck will have outdoor dining and a gas grill for your use. You'll enjoy wonderful bay breezes while you eat and lounge! The kitchen has been recently updated and features top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances and granite countertops.

A wonderful spot with family

Quiet, great location, lovely view from deck, easy access to lovely beach. Very airy. Nice kitchen to cook in. The owners left lots of incidentals, everything from beach toys and towels to sand chairs. Good cooking utensils.

The wonderful beach was NEVER crowded. People left their beach chairs and umbrellas behind a fence there overnight. Great to be relieved of hauling things back and forth every day!

A delight for families--with children over 5 or so. Staircase and deck were nice, but the design was little dicey for mobile smaller kids.

Walking distance to private beach and to vineyard. The beach had a lot of seaweed and the water was murky the first day. We came the day after a big storm. A few days later, the water was clear and calm and much less seaweed. It was more like a pristine lake. Nice ling beach for walking. House was clean, nice layout for entertaining and interacting with other guests in the common areas. Overall, great house to relax.

Incredible Family Vacation

Highly recommended, we could not have asked for a better vacation.

We are a family of five (12, 10, and 6 years) and were in need of a vacation alone together. We were looking for a place to unwind, with easy access to the water and nearby activity. The property delivered. Incredible bay breeze, walking distance to the water, walking/biking distance to north Truro center. Water view from the patio. Modern, stunning, open concept home was the oasis we were looking for.

Wonderful Stay

My family and I just returned from a great vacation in North Truro. One of the most contributing factors to making it such a great trip was the home where we stayed. Newly remodeled from stem to stern, it provided us such pleasure! The kitchen was wonderfully stocked with every item you could possibly need! Beds were comfortable, linens and towels were of high quality, and the floor plan couldn't have been better. The Cape was experiencing a heat wave, but we stayed totally cool and comfortable thanks to the great A/C in our house! One evening we entertained ten family members for dinner, and it was super fun! The views of the bay, the deck with comfortable lounge chairs...who could ask for anything more?? For sure we will rent this fabulous property the next time we go back to the Cape! show more show less
