We love this place! It has become a yearly tradition for 5+ years. We keep taking additional weeks, even experimenting with the early and late season, which provides a total different feeling for the cape. This charming wooded-panel studio is a perfect escape from the urban frenzies (best suited for a couple or a single person). The studio is nestled atop a barn in the National Seashore. There is small deck (providing some shade during the hot summers months), perfect for relaxing with a cup of coffee or a chilled glass of Rose, or if you’re ambitious, you can do some catching up on emails, as WIFI is provided.
The kitchen is limited, there is no stove or oven, but we find that to be a positive. So many activities to enjoy. We love running in the forest and arriving on the top of the cliff between the two public beaches (Longnook & Balston beach are an easy drive away as well - beach sticker required) and taking long walks on the beach. There are many restaurants nearby that we enjoy going to: Blackfish, Mac’s Shack, Moby Dick's, Truro Vineyard, and the charming little store, Jams in Truro Center (an easy morning bike ride for a croissant and cup of coffee).
We also have discovered a little shopping plaza nearby on route 6, where we buy fresh fish and local farm products for grilling on the gas grill, back at the house. Even in the rain the place has a cozy feel. Cloudy or sunny, P-town is always worth the trip for fun, food and bike rides through Race Point and the beaches. Our hosts are very pleasant and accommodating, providing, linens and plenty of bath towels and TP. The kitchen is usually stocked with paper towels, foil, plastic wrap, coffee filters, etc... We usually bring some containers and plastics bags for taking lunch to the beach.
The only down side to writing this review is that we want the place for ourselves!
