This well-maintained five-bedroom home sits on a beautifully landscaped, 1 acre lot in quaint East Orleans. With three mature flower garden beds and expansive open meadows, the property has a wonderful pastoral feel.

The original front part of the house was built in 1803 and still has much of its historic charm including wide board wooden floors and classic features like built in cabinets and multiple fireplaces. A spacious kitchen added in the early 1900s leads to three other additions, each more modern and spacious. While offering a ''Cape Cod'' feel, the house is also well-appointed with two libraries, fine antiques and paintings throughout, and even a tuned piano.

The house features multiple social gathering spots: A large screened porch with skylights perfect for meals or cooling off in afternoon sea breezes, a parlor room with a television and impressive library, and a living room offering ample seating adjacent to the large stately dining room table and vintage piano. At the back of the property sits a century old stand-alone studio building. Substantially renovated in 2017, this is the perfect retreat for an artist, writer, or anyone seeking some quiet time during their stay.

The oldest part of the house, built in 1803 by farmer and fisherman Daniel Cummings has a master bedroom with a queen sized sleigh bed and an attached full bathroom on the 1st floor. Upstairs are two bedrooms: Left side has a full size bed and Right side has two built-in twins. In the newer addition on the other side of the kitchen are two bedrooms: The office has an antique full sized bed and next to it is the spacious Annex, which has a queen-sized bed and adjacent sitting couch. These two rooms are next to the second full bathroom.

You will enjoy this home's convenient location near downtown East Orleans and beaches. It is only a 3/10ths of a mile walk to East Orleans stores including the Post Office, Nauset Farms, Sundae School ice cream, and a new breakfast/lunch eatery. You are also only 1 mile to Nauset Beach and less than 1 mile to several town landings (Priscilla, Tonset, Mill Pond, Snow Shore) for water access and pleasant views.
