The loft also serves as an out-of-the way play area for kids. The bathroom has a full bath/shower. The cottage has a screened-in porch with a futon or dining table and a large deck with patio furniture. Ideal for morning coffee, reading, meditation, dining or simply relaxing on a summer days and evenings! The enclosed hot/cold outside shower with changing area is wonderful for after a day at the beach. The large yard is perfect for a volleyball games, yoga, or kids to play! The inviting hammock is ready for reading a book or indulging in a well deserved nap!

The home is a short drive from popular downtown Chatham, a short walk to public tennis/basketball courts or a casual bike ride to the public bike/rail trail. Maybe just bring our beach chairs, cooler, beach wagon to load up toys, kids, coolers and your favorite book to stroll on down to Forest Beach to enjoy the serenity, peace and positive energy of sitting by the ocean.

Amenities include a Weber gas BBQ grill; hot and cold outside 'after swim' shower with changing room; washer and dryer; fireplace with gas log; large flat screen smart TV with cable and internet connection; DVD player; fully equipped kitchen with microwave, coffee maker, blender, lobster pot, etc.; wagon for fun or bringing things to beach; high chair; iron; hair dryer; games; variety of books to borrow; bicycle; brochures with ideas of things to do during your dream vacation.

    Great Summer Rental!

    We recently had the pleasure to stay here in July of 2022. This is a great choice for a rental property in Chatham. Close to everything in Harwich and Chatham. Very convenient to Cockle Cove Beach and also close to Ridgevale and Hardings as well. There's also a beach at the end of Forest Beach Road which is about a half-mile from the home.

    In the home, plenty of room to spread out. Comfortable beds. Air conditioning and pet friendly. Fast wireless internet. Washer/dryer. The deck was our favorite place to hang out. The house has everything you'd probably need including a well stocked kitchen, beach chairs, some beach toys for the kids, cooler, wagon, etc. Very comfortable and a good layout. Great landlords - excellent communication and security deposit refunded within a day of checkout. Highly recommended. show more show less

    The first time I our family had been to the Cape we stayed here, it was perfect. The kids had a place to hang out in the yard, the deck was a comfortable spot to enjoy our coffee, and it was just around the corner from a beach. It was everything we could hope for, so much so, we keep going back!

    A Wonderful Time at a Tranquil Place

    My three children and I spent a few days at Johnny and Bonni's cottage. It had everything we needed and Johnny was available to answer any questions I had. It is very close to the beach and a short drive to many adventures on the Cape. The hammock was especially nice to lay in and read a book or just be, as well as the deck and patio table to eat dinner. The kids enjoyed the loft area for sleeping and playing and the outdoor shower. There was plenty of room for our family and for a few more. We had an amazing time and can't wait to visit again!

    So Easy, So Comfortable!

    After 25+ years of renting cottages in Chatham, I'm qualified to write a review! The owner was attentive and easy to reach. The location is ideal, quick walk to beach! the cottage has lots of space and fit our large group comfortably. Additionally, it was extremely comfortable in temperature even though it was a hot week! The parking situation was perfect, lots of room for off-street parking and still room for the croquet court! Finally, it was such a relief to find a cottage that everyone liked! show more show less

    Peaceful vacation

    Lovely, quaint cottage! Short walk to a quiet beach. Great yard for children to play in. Loved the deck, which is gated. Good location with easy access to anywhere. Kitchen is well stocked for cooking, even lobsters and steamers! Nice beach breezes on the large deck. Quiet neighborhood for total relaxation.

    This was my first visit to the Cape and I found my favorite getaway cottage on Kitty’s Lane !
    Perfect location. Better than expected home with lovely attention to detail . From the moment I arrrived, I felt peaceful and relaxed ! Lots of glorious days on the beach , adgternoond in the hammock or enjoying the shaded deck area ! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

    We have had a vacation home on Cape for decades. The Cape has always been our home away from home, a place to unplug, relax and find peace. We enjoy connecting with family and friends, long walks on the beach, barbeques, bonfires, quiet evenings together singing and playing music. We have enjoyed many summers on the Cape and It is our pleasure to offer this slice of heaven so that other couples and families can build memories too.

    What is special about this property?
    This property is well loved and carries an energy of peace and tranquillity, It is built on a double lot so the yard is larger than most. This home is ideal for families. It is within walking distance to Forest Beach and the overlook as well as a couple of restaurants.

    What is special about your town?
    This location is perfect. South Chatham is centrally located on the Cape, far enough from the busyness of the village center to relax and enjoy the peace and quite but close enough to all the conveniences Chatham has to offer. This relaxing Cape Cod home is only a 5 to 10 minute walk to Forest Beach, a natural beach on the warm waters of Nantucket sound. Located at the desirable South of RT 28, Forest Beach is 5 to 10 minute walk at 4/10 of a mile. This natural beach is unique and very private and does not require a parking pass or paid admission unlike the larger busier beaches. There are also several town beaches minutes away to choose from, each with its own personality or even a calm fresh water kettle pond. The beautiful Cape bike trail is only a 5 minute ride. There is even a newly surfaced public tennis court, basketball hoop with kids climbing play area within a 5 minutes walk.
