Chatham esCAPE/Close to Beach and Town (Dog-Friendly!)

We had such a lovely visit at Meg's place in Chatham and will look to return next year. The owners are terrific and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. They are assiduously updating the property and we had everything we needed for our stay. They were super prompt in responding to any inquiry, and so accommodating, and made everything so easy.

The location is great - although technically on a major road, the driveway is on a cul-de-sac and we had no issue with noise or traffic, and they are very close to the local beaches. We used the bike trail, accessible from the house, and frequently went into town for meals, shopping, ice cream, or to see the Chatham A's play.

We chose this property because it allowed us to bring our 4-legged family member, Daisy, with us on vacation, and she instantly hit it off with the owner's dog - it's obvious they are big dog lovers and even left Daisy a toy to play with! Daisy gives this property 4 paws up :).

We enjoyed Meg's place and renting it was easy! We didnt want to deal with airbnb and vrbo (excessive unnecessary fees) so we looked elsewhere for rentals. Meg is very responsive and helped us find things to do in Chatham for the busy Jul 4 weekend. Meg's rental is also dog friendly (hard to find on the Cape) so we were able to bring our two dogs. They enjoyed sniffing around the yard and relaxing on the deck. The house is central to most attractions on the Cape and to the quaint town of Chatham where you will find cute shops and restaurants. We used the full kitchen each day for breakfast and it has all the basics and essentials. Property is quiet at night which we appreciated as we go to bed early. We spent a sunny afternoon on the deck enjoying the weather and the seagull sounds. We would definitely return during the less busy off season! show more show less

We loved staying here! Meaghan also kindly let us check in early which was awesome. Great location and overall exactly what we wanted!

Meaghan's Place was very clean and very comfortable. Kitchen is large with a nice dining and living area. Simply and tastefully decorated and uncluttered. Very comfortable. Washer and Dryer in basement came in handy with a newborn and 3 year old. House is convenient to restaurants, stores, and beaches. The Beach is a 0.9 mile walk and the road is busy. If you have kids I suggest driving or dropping your family off and walking back. GREAT BEACH! Tidal pools are wonderful for young children.
The yard is large enough for outdoor games and enjoying being outside.
Sheets and towels are not provided so pack accordingly. Meaghan was very responsive and helpful prior to booking and responded quickly to questions while we were there. This is a great rental for a family bringing along a grandparent ??
There were 3 adults, a 3 year old, and a 4 week old in our party. We had an entire extra bedroom.
