    Jim's family background in Pineland Park goes back to his childhood, then partially interrupted by career military service. West Point graduate, Vietnam veteran, West Point faculty, Army War College, defense contractor, intermittent service as a civilian in Iraq and Afghanistan, yet managed to return almost every year to family home in Pineland Park. Built additional home in 1994 for expanding family (six children, now 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren). Home now available for rental outside family needs.
    Jim spends most of the year in original family home in Pineland Park, available to provide support to renters.

    What is special about this property?
    Unusual custom upside-down design takes advantage of elevated views of the bay from second floor living-dining area and private deck. Octagonal ''turret'' design feature harkens back to traditional New England historic homes.
    50-yard walk to beach is a reminder of Jim's summer barefoot days.
    Unique neighborhood has transitioned to $million-plus homes on rustic dirt roads.
    Rabbits, chipmunks and squirrels claim the back yard as their own, to the delight of children.
