Just a mile from the totally quaint Cape Cod village of Wellfleet--famous for its fresh water ponds and magnificent ocean beaches--and within walking distance of the lovely Wellfleet bay, sits this modern, single level house in the quiet woods. A large deck in the pine forest to sit and read the newspaper; a screened-in-porch for eating famed Wellfleet oyster and lobster dinners. A master bedroom with private bath on one side of the house, and two bedrooms with bath on the other side of the house. Perfect for adults and children.

Could not be more comfortable...and affordable!

House is located off Pilgrim Springs road near the bay, with easy swimming and windsurfing just a couple of minutes away. From the breaker at the end of the point, you can look across the bay to the town marina. The village of Wellfleet is just down the road with all the galleries and restaurants and beaches and ponds a vacationer could ever want. And only a few miles further is Truro and Provincetown with all their additional beaches, shops and restaurants--so the tip of the Cape is there to be explored.

Ten minutes in the other direction is the famous Wellfleet Drive In, one of the last of its kind in the United States of America.

Priced to rent, just to cover taxes and maintenence expenses.

We stayed here recently and loved it. The house is spotless, well-maintained, quiet, charmingly decorated, spacious, shady, and well ventilated. The woods are quite pretty. Birds abound. A sweet bay beach is a short bike ride down a quiet road, about a mile and a half away. Longer bike rides or short drives (across Route 6) lead to the rail trail, bay beaches, spectacular ocean beaches, hiking trails, ponds, restaurants, bakeries, and the lovely village of Wellfleet. The layout of the house works well: a bathroom and two smallish bedrooms are on one end--one with a bunk bed, the other with a double bed--and a large master suite is at the other, complete with an attached little office/sitting area and bathroom. Our favorite moments included breakfast on the deck and lunch and dinner in the screened-in porch. We also enjoyed walks in the woods along the sandy dirt roads in the neighborhood.
