Wellfleet 3 Bedroom Bayside House

Our family consisting of 4 adults and 2 teens stayed at this beautifully appointed, spacious, airy, clean home for the first time in June 2019. We enjoyed the cozy yard/landscaping and house so much we want to return in 2020. We have rented many Cape Cod cottages and homes throughout the years flipping between bay side and ocean side and this one, by far, is now our favorite. Everyone in our party had their own space. The library is great for reading with big windows to let in fresh air; plenty of seating on the deck and comfy outdoor couches around the fire pit; the entertainment system in the basement was a hit with the two boys; the dining room table gave us room for a puzzle and eating; and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook up our meals. We used the outside propane fire pit and contemporary outside shower often. There were plenty of cleaning supplies on hand and linens/towels. Very quiet neighborhood and a perfect location to get to Orleans, center of Wellfleet, movie theatre, beaches and ponds. We also discovered a brand new Himalayan Salt Cave in Orleans that is worth trying for fun. We highly recommend this home for a family vacation. show more show less

We stayed in the home late spring and late summer 2017 and loved our visit. We love the Wellfleet area and looked to stay there. This house is away from the main road, at the end of a long, private drive so ample privacy. It has a vaulted living/dining room ceiling that lends to the spaciousness of the house. Outside of the living and dining room are doors to an inviting deck, patio and private wooded area. Bedrooms are spacious. with comfortable beds and located on both the first and second floors. Bathrooms are modern and roomy also. There are plenty of linens and towels .

The house can easily accommodate a good size group without feeling crowded. It is tastefully decorated in colors that look like the sea and is very well kept and landscaped.

The kitchen is small but has everything one needs to make a great meal and opens to a large and comfortable dining area. The downstairs TV room is also roomy and a great place for kids and teens to hang out.

It is a not too far walk to a kayak launch that heads out to the bay, and of course local ponds and ocean beaches are nearby.

The owners were good to deal with, very conscientious and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful time staying at this Wellfleet home in August. Spacious and airy, it had plenty of room for our 3- generation family of four. The house is beautifully furnished and well-equipped, close to Wellfleet beaches as well as the downtown shops and restaurants. Our hosts were fantastic & responsive. The house had everything we needed for a great vacation week on the Cape, and we will be very happy to stay there again!

This is a beautiful, comfortable, and modern home in a quiet, wooded, private location. It is a short walk down the road from magical, bayside kayaking and also minutes away from wonderful biking trails and great pond swimming. This is the perfect home and location for a relaxing, fun-filled Cape Cod vacation!

I'm so glad we decided to skip the Mid Cape crowds and went to Wellfleet for our 3 generation family vacation, June, 2017. My Arizona grandchildren had the chance to experience the Cape Cod of my youth--mini golf, Drive-In theater, P-Town whale watch, tide pools, crabs and birds at the Fox Hollow Conservation area, charming gift stores, salt water taffy, bakeries (shout out to the Petite Boulangerie), lobsters everywhere, best swordfish & rice (no joke) I've ever eaten at Macs on the Pier and, of course, the beautiful Wellfleet BEACHES. We could walk through the woods to the Bay and the Atlantic was only a short drive away at LeCount Hollow. We didn't try it, but we were told that you can paddle to Wellfleet Harbor from the Bay.

I feel like we won the lottery when I picked this house! The well-furnished home is unexpectedly large and airy! It looked like it had been freshly painted. The pictures do not do justice to the bright, open "gathering room." It was perfect for our group. We all loved being able to use the fireplace on cool nights (in truth, the aerospace engineer was more fascinated by the highly effective monster fans and wants to get one for our Az home).

The home essentially has two master bedrooms. We old folks stayed in the one on the first floor. My daughter and husband stayed upstairs in the other with their 3 year old on a cot. His 10 and 12 year old sisters stayed in the third bedroom with the twin beds. The girls and their electronic devices also took over the small library on the first floor where they could escape when we were boring. They also watched a couple of movies in the theater room at night but mostly we played cards and games at the big dining table. The kitchen is small but has everything you might need, and then some. (It has more pots and pans than I own.) We mainly used it for breakfast, some lunches, and a few dinners and one large brunch with company. Son-in-law made good use of the outdoor gas grill when we ate dinner in. That worked for me!

The home is located on a wooded lot with a beautiful front garden full of birds and a very private, large back yard. The deck and patio provided a great place our weekend brunch with a bunch of relatives who came to visit.
