Welcome to lovely Samoset which has been enjoyed by our family for close to 30 years. Our cottage faces Wellfleet Harbor, which is about 100 steps from the deeded access bayside beach. Beautiful for morning and sunset walks at both low & high tide. Or enjoy relaxing with a book & outdoor meals at our large picnic table on the airy front screened in porch or large, shady back deck.

Situated on an open bluff in a great location, Samoset sleeps 6 and features 3 bedrooms, 2 baths (one full, one 1/2 bath), an updated kitchen and combo living/dining room with cable TV and WiFi. There is also a large back deck with BBQ Weber Grill, a large new cedar outdoor shower with bench, and parking space for two.

Downtown Wellfleet is just a short drive via car, or a 15 minute walk along our bayside beach, over Uncle Tim's Bridge for shopping, ice cream, or meals. A 30 minute drive takes you to Provincetown or Truro National Seashore Beaches. Other area attractions such as Cahoon Hollow Ocean Beach (Beachcomber restaurant, boogie boarding, day tripping) and Great Pond (nice spot for picnic with fresh water lake in Wellfleet) are both about a 5-8 minute drive.

A Great Wellfleet Cottage!

We have been coming to Wellfleet for years, and Samoset Cottage is about the nicest place we've ever stayed! It's in a lovely location up at the end of Nauhaught Bluffs Road, a perfect combination of quiet/peaceful and neighborly. From just outside the cottage, we could look over to Wellfleet Harbor, and we really enjoyed the quick walk down to the water and the amble around the cove into town.

The cottage itself is very comfortable and nicely furnished. It's airy and light, but also cozy on a rainy day. The whole place has the feel that someone's cared for home, rather than just a rental property. We especially appreciated the well-equipped kitchen (the best of any Cape house we've ever rented). We loved the back deck for breakfast and late afternoon, looking over a beautiful yard, and the front (screened) porch for dinners.

From the first inquiry, communication with the homeowners was helpful and friendly. They answered numerous questions, and Jennifer even texted me additional photos and description in answer to a question about the deck!
