This was our 13th year vacationing in Wellfleet as an extended family and a first at this property. The house is sprawling with plenty of space for large families to spread out. The interior is comfortable, and the updated bathrooms and kitchen were welcome! The views are stunning at any time of day. Our teens loved playing croquet in the yard and being only a few minutes from town. Thank you for letting us stay at your home - we hope to be back next summer!

Our family of 6 had a wonderful week in this sprawling ranch on the harbor. Beautifully situated with plenty of room to cook, eat and enjoy the lovely views, this house has plenty to offer. Had a great time and Leroy our pooch was a welcome and happy boy too!

This houses was so comfortable - plenty of room for all of us! Perfect space for puzzling, cooking, eating and relaxing with a breathtaking view!

Our extended family spent a week in the Lodge in July, 2019, as we did last year. There were many changes made to the kitchen which we greatly appreciated. including new appliances, and more working and storage space. The Lodge suits us perfectly. We are six adults, three children and two dogs. The house is very comfortable, large enough to never feel crowded, but furnished in a cozy family way, offering the most beautiful views imaginable. There is plenty of parking in the front. The grounds are lovely having a patio with a table and chairs, a grill, space for wiffle ball games, if one should want to play, a hammock, lounge chairs for relaxing, and interesting trees and plants all around. It's a very quiet location, close to town, and within walking distance of Great Island beach. We found it to be a unique and wonderful place. show more show less

This August will be my 10th year renting the Friendship Lodge. I absolutely love everything about this property. The location, with sweeping views of Cape Cod Bay, Wellfleet Harbor and undeveloped Great Island is the best I have seen on the Cape. The sprawling care- free ranch house has a large "great room" and enough bedrooms and bathrooms for large families or groups of friends to enjoy without feeling on top of each other. There is a nice patio which is perfect for watching amazing sunsets over the bay. If you are active nature lovers, this is the place for you.

We bring our sailboat, kayak and stand up paddle board to explore the harbor and beyond. We hike or jog on the Great Island trails, the Bay beach, and Mayo beach in town. Dogs are allowed which is fantastic because it is so much fun to take them for beach walks right outside of the house. When we venture out from the house, we like to bike the back roads and bike paths to Provincetown or Chatham. We also enjoy the close by ocean beaches and kettle ponds which are fantastic for swimming. In Wellfleet center there are wonderful art galleries, shops and restaurants. On top of all this, the price for this water front home is very reasonable and the owners are incredibly nice- when ever we are here they always make us feel like this is our summer home. They are also very responsive if something is needed and knowledgeable about the history and ecology of Wellfleet since they have owned this property for over 50 years. In sum, the Friendship Lodge is the best kept secret on the Cape! show more show less
