Just steps down to Gull Pond -- fresh water, great swimming, kayaking, sunbathing. A short drive or bike ride to the ocean. Breezes all day long on the deck. The house is ideal for sharing with family. Enter an open living/dining room, at one end a big dining table adjacent to a spacious kitchen, and easy dining out on the deck, too. The other end has comfortable chairs around the fire place. One large upstairs room doubles as a study including a desk with a sparkling water view. The lower level could be its own suite, plenty of beds, full bath, a small fridge, sink, counter space and separate entrance. With a high quality washer & dryer, and all the kitchen materials first rate, this makes a real home for a happy family and friends. Also has a full range of rainy-day games, kid's toys and life vests, a kayak and excellent books if you like biography, history and Cape Cod nature stories. Also some very good fiction.

I've rented this property several times. I love this house. Well laid out for guests and it's well equipped for everything. Adults and kids have thoroughly enjoyed the pond and proximity to the ocean. Responsive friendly owners. Great kitchen and top of the line washer and dryer. Also has excellent Wi-Fi and cable. Very spacious and comfortable house makes for a great vacation.

My family of four (including two little kids) had the absolute pleasure of escaping to Wellfleet and this beautiful home for a week in February. The house could not be more perfect, truly a home away from home. Comfortable, tidy and extremely well-equipped (e.g. a kitchen that actually has the necessary accoutrements to accommodate spontaneous brownie baking with the kids, grinding of coffee beans, and cooking knives actually sharp enough to chop an onion!).

We spent our week exploring the lovely, remote paths around Wellfleet ponds and venturing to the wintry beach, all a stone's throw from this lovely home.

Anne could not have been more accommodating as an owner. The house was warm and cozy on our arrival with beautifully shoveled steps and deck. During our stay, John stopped by to drop off ice melt per our request, and when the microwave gave out literally had a brand new one to the house in under 12 hours.

This home was very much as advertised. The upstairs is perfect for hanging out, doing puzzles, playing games, cooking and eating together while over looking the pond. There is also a large nice back office with a couch and a down stairs apartment. The spot is quiet, private and a short walk to the beach. Highly recommend.

Our family stayed at the property for 3 weeks in September/October to enjoy the outdoors while working/learning remotely. The house was well equipped, both inside (kitchen/sheets/towels) and out (both a canoe and a kayak as well as some beach equipment). Internet connection was blazing fast. It is fairly spacious compared to other properties we've stayed at in the Wellfleet Ponds area of the CCNS, our family of 5 didn't need to make use of the lower floor at all. The owners were very friendly and have a local presence, which was appreciated, but we didn't have any issues at all during our stay. The location can't be beat with the ponds and Newcomb Hollow and hiking right there. Highly recommended! show more show less
