This 2nd floor of a renovated, 1800's, historic home is set in the heart of Oak Bluffs. Enjoy the best of Martha's Vineyard - walk to nearby restaurants, shops, parks, beach & more!

Centrally located on Kennebec Ave with all the best restaurants, cafes and the clubs just one street away and the ocean only 2 short walking blocks through Ocean Park. Also located across the street from the famous Back Door Donuts - you can smell them from the house. Uh oh!

The Tabernacle for outdoor concerts and events is a block in the other direction, and the harbor is a couple of blocks down with lots more restaurants and bars. Oak Bluffs has everything! It is the jewel of the island.

The living room has a brand new, high-end, full size sofa-bed now instead of the two green velvet chairs in the photos. The chairs now form a sweet sofa nook in the bedroom.

This apartment is on floor 2 of 2.

All my properties are selectively pet friendly. :) I try to make it possible for people to be with their four-legged loved ones when while on vacation, but I have some terms to discuss in advance, and accept them on a case by case basis. This way I can make sure any pet visits will work out for you, the guests after you, and for the houses. There is a $129 pet fee that will be applied to cover a little additional cleaning, so that the people after you will have a meticulously cleaned house, whether a pet was ever there or not. Perfect Oak Bluffs Apartment

This rental was just perfect for the two of us. Great location, close to everything but also a quiet spot. Beautifully renovated and furnished with everything we needed. Safe locked storage space for our bikes and lots of beach equipment available to renters. Very strong wifi signal and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We hope to return.

What a wonderful week!

I can't say enough about this place. Perfectly located in the heart of OB but still with a quiet neighborhood feel. We could walk every where, coffee, beach, casual and fine dining and shops. Groceries right across street made shopping easy and you really don't need a car at all.

The apartment was cozy, impeccably clean and well appointed with every thing you could possible need. The deck was a really nice addition for cocktails and dining complete with grill. Bed was very comfy! />
Covid protocols were very much in place and we felt very secure. Both Sharon and Deb made the whole rental process seamless. I highly recommend! show more show less

Sharon Strimling has lived on Martha's Vineyard full time now for 25 years, but vacationed on the island as a child well before then. Since the moment she first stepped off the ferry at 8 years old, Martha's Vineyard has been her heart home. Now it gives her great joy to see others fall in love with the Vineyard while basking in her dearly loved homes.

Sharon's favorite morning routine in Vineyard Haven is to walk down the hill to the lagoon with her paddle board, paddle out under the drawbridge to the beach, take a swim, cruise over to town for a smoothie from Blissed Out on Main Street and return home for a cup of tea on her deck.

In Oak Bluffs, her morning routine is to run through the beautiful nature trails a short jog away from her Oak Bluffs house, come back for a delicious smoothie in the hot tub, and then walk down the street to the local coffee shop for a cup of tea and to say hi to friends gathering there.

Her nieces and nephews, on the other hand, get far more excited about the after-dinner walk from the Oak Bluffs house down to the arcade and ice cream shop, and watching the nightlife on Circuit Ave!

What is special about this property?
The tale of a perfect little house

I fell in love with this house the minute I saw it. It took me a full winter to be able to purchase the house because the owner did not want to disappoint another person who'd looked at the house previously, even though there was no contract of any kind. She risked losing the sale to do this, but felt it was only right to try to find this person who was by then out of the country and difficult to track down. She knew how much I loved the house, and after several long months she called to say it was mine if I still wanted it, and I could take a few days to let her know. I told her I didn't even need a few minutes. No other house that I had seen captured my heart as this one had.
