This lovingly restored, quaint and charming villager home is located in the heart of Chatham's downtown village. Enjoy the full benefit of being steps away from the hustle and bustle of Main Street in one direction, or the scenic beaches and ocean in the other, all while also being able to wind down and relax in comfort and privacy. This perfect central location is steps away from it all!

Outdoors you will be greeted with the idyllic charming Cape style with weathered shingles and well manicured landscaping. You’ll have the option to prepare easy meals on the gas grill and optionally eat al fresco at the outdoor table. Relax by the firepit or enjoy an outdoor shower.

Once inside, our main level open floor plan is warm and inviting with wide plank flooring. In the heart of the home is a beautifully updated, fully equipped gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, a sizable island and breakfast bar. A full size dining area opens to both the kitchen and living room for truly open family living. The living room provides comfortable seating with a large 55” Internet/app ready HD SmartTV. Cable and Wi-Fi access connects you to countless entertainment options of your choice. Thoughtful lighting along with lots of windows with wood shutters provide a nice, bright and airy feel throughout. Central air conditioning and heating ensure your comfort year-round.

When you are ready to unwind at the end of the day, or wish to sneak in a nap in between, escape upstairs to one of three completely refreshed bedrooms. The spacious king primary bedroom has its own private en suite bathroom. The primary room has a TV with HD cable. We've also added a desk and chair to serve as a mini home office as needed. Our Lookout queen guest bedroom has a private balcony, TV with HD cable, and is ideal for 1 or 2 guests to share. Our Whale Watch guest bedroom has 2 full/double beds which can accommodate either up to 4 small kids or a max of 2 tweens/teens through adults. The two guest rooms share an updated full bathroom which has a tub and tiled shower. Upstairs landing houses a built-in library nook for guests to enjoy and unplug.

Full size washer and dryer for laundry are handily located on the first floor in the main bathroom.

Note: Bed linens (sheet sets) and towels (hand/face/bath/beach) are NOT provided as is customary in house rentals on the Cape. You may bring your own (see sizes of beds above) or you may rent these (they drop off and pick up at property) at one of two local places. Linen sources can be provided upon request. The property does include pillows and blankets.

This villager home is a unique set up as it shares a common wall with one other home yet has private entrances, parking, and all outdoor areas are exclusive use, private and fenced. There are assigned parking spaces for 2 vehicles only. However, there are alternative offsite parking options nearby, please ask.

The maximum occupancy is 8 total persons(includes infants). A max group of 8 works when a combination of parents and small children. Max Adult group is 6 persons total. Please send us an inquiry to discuss variations. We would like all of our guests to have a wonderfully relaxing stay, therefore we cannot comfortably accommodate more than 6 adults. We do not allow pets. Exterior camera on property facing driveway only; does not view interior or private use exterior spaces. No music outside after 10pm in the private area to be respectful of neighbors. Any exceptions on max guests, pet, etc must be pre-approved by owners prior to booking.

    Perfect week in Chatham

    Cindy & Bruce's place was a wonderful place to stay while on vacation in Chatham. Our family of seven stayed for a week in July 2020 and it was just perfect. Their house is clean, well-appointed, welcoming and located within walking distance of shops, restaurants and beaches.

    Cindy & Bruce were very helpful providing the information we needed to facilitate our check in and check out of the home.

    We will definitely come back!

    This was a lovely home in a beautiful neighborhood, perfect location to walk to beaches and downtown. Immaculately clean and well furnished in a lovely coastal cottage style. We were in Chatham after most things had closed for the season, but there were restaurants to choose from and most of the shops were still open. Walking the many beaches was spectacular. Chatham is a wonderful location for exploring other towns, and we had a great experience going up to Provincetown for the day and climbing the tower. There is nothing quite so beautiful as long walks on the Cape Code National Seashore—close by, and wonderfully quiet in late October. The owners provided a great guidebook with everything to do, menus from restaurants, and their own favorite spots to try. Cindy was so responsive and helpful during every step of the process, and made the rental of their lovely home easy and pleasant. I would go back to their home in a heartbeat! show more show less

    We had a wonderful girls’ getaway at this charming village home. Bruce & Cyndy were very helpful with suggestions and have thought of everything you will need for a comfortable stay. The home was very clean, organized and well maintained. The kitchen is fully stocked and the home is outfitted with great quality items and tastefully decorated throughout. We indulged in a spa visit and enjoyed a fun 9-hole round of golf, both a few steps away from the house. The location and setting of this home is just fantastic. We were pleased with both how close we were to Main Street (a short couple minutes walk down the sidewalk) and how quaint and private it was in the courtyard.     Our family of 5 lives full time in North Carolina. We are originally from New England (Massachusetts and Maine) and had the opportunity to spend many summers on Cape Cod and Nantucket. In our efforts to someday return to our New England roots, we decided to purchase a vacation home in Chatham, MA where we have other family members who have been longtime property owners in Chatham. The premium location, comfortable size and potential to update and make this diamond in the rough shine again sold us on this unique condo. We hope you can take advantage of this newly updated space. We truly hope you enjoy your stay!

    What is special about this property?
    As you can tell by now, we absolutely LOVE the LOCATION. Having the ability to walk to most anything is a huge bonus. If you've visited Chatham during peak summer months, you know how busy downtown Main Street gets and how naturally difficult it can be to find parking. Our location solves that as you can easily leave the car home and walk to the majority of places you'll want to go. Of course with Main Street just mere steps away, you'll have easy access to all the wonderful cafes, shops and restaurants. You can head out to the beach without packing up the car - a plus when it's super busy. Just around the corner you can watch the fisherman haul in their catch at Chatham Fish Pier, grab lunch, or purchase fresh seafood to take home for dinner. Sneak in a round of golf at neighboring Seaside Links. Perhaps you'll be in town to attend a wedding at Chatham Bars Inn? You'll be just steps down the street. The Inn is also great for a spa treatment, cocktails on the patio or for a memorable meal. Take in a Chatham A's baseball game at Veteran's Field. You can also walk to the library, playgrounds, churches and movie theater. In town during the summer on a Friday night? Walk to Kate Gould Park and enjoy the free concert at the bandstand. We're sure you'll enjoy the location as much as we do!

    What is special about your town?
    Growing up in the region, we both travelled and experienced the many vacation getaways throughout New England. We feel Chatham has the best of everything to offer while being easily accessible to major transportation. Day trips to the great cities of Boston and Providence are easy to fit in, as well as visits to the islands of Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket. Choosing this specific property was mainly based on it’s prime location in the heart of the village center. Being steps away from everything Main Street Chatham has to offer and the beach was our top priority. We enjoy this luxury as do our 3 independent teens. It’s a bonus that we are feet away from Seaside Links for the golfers in our family. The closest public access beach is just steps further as is Chatham Bars Inn which is an excellent resource for spa escapes, dinner and drinks with amazing views.
