    Dream Stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 31310 property. Not only was the home clean, spacious, beautifully decorated and comfortable, but also centrally located. It was just a short drive to Hardings Beach which we love, as well as Chatham's downtown with great shops and restaurants. My family also appreciated meeting the hosts and being able to access Goose Pond nearby. And the backyard is lovely too! Absolutely a wonderful vacation that felt like a home away from home! Thank you!

    Cape Cod Home

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. When we arrived the house was clean(actually smelled clean) and was completely ready for us. It was the perfect size for our family of four but could have accommodated a few more. It was well laid out with an open concept. The kitchen was beautiful and looked like it had been renovated in the past couple of years, and was well equipped. The bath on the main floor was also brand new and gorgeous. The location of the house was perfect for us. It was close to the village of Chatham and the beaches we like to visit. The owners were welcoming and checked with us the first day to make sure we found everything we needed. Overall, I would say this is the best house I have rented in Cape Cod and I have been visiting for 25 years. I would hope I might be able to come back and stay another time. show more show less

    Fantastic Chatham rental

What a truly wonderful spot. The house was so comfortable with a beautiful backyard garden. We had everything we needed. It was so nice to be on a quiet, dead-end road and to be able to bring our dog. The home is in an excellent location- close to the rail trail and very short drive to town. The homeowner was an excellent communicator and easily reached if we needed anything (which we didn't). Loved the home's decor too. Very tasteful! We would definitely return for a future vacation!

    Love this house, love Chatham

This is the nicest house we have rented on the Cape. I believe we have rented 14 times over the years. This house is spacious, private, beautifully maintained, and comfortable. The kitchen is very nice. And there is the garage where you can store your bikes.

There is a private backyard with green grass, furniture, and an excellent outdoor shower. We really liked sitting on the deck and reading.

The house is at the end of the street, so no car traffic. It is a short walk to Goose pond, which is wonderful for swimming.

The Cape Cod Rail Trail is nearby as well. We walked over and rode our bikes over every day. You don't need to drive. Also, there is a park nearby with a playground, skate park, and ball field.

Macs seafood is a 5 minute drive. Such great food. Grocery store is 8 minutes away.

We like Nauset Beach and Skaket Beach. Each is approx 15 mins away. To get to Nauset you can take back roads so less traffic. We also went to Jackknife beach, which is also quite close. The Wequassett is 5 mins away. Great for dinner at the Beach Bar.

We highly recommend this house, and Carolyn and Jamie are great people and excellent hosts. Thank you.

    Best stay on the Cape

We've been visiting the Cape for nearly 40 years and Carolyn and Jamie's house is the best we've ever rented. They are great hosts -- super responsive and helpful.

The house is lovely in every way. Big and roomy common areas, great kitchen, nice, new furniture. The house is spotlessly clean and in great condition. It felt like home immediately.

The beautifully landscaped and very private backyard was a welcome respite after a busy day.

Best of all is the location. A three-minute walk to Goose Pond for swimming, a two-minute walk to conservation trails for walking, and a quarter mile from the bike path -- all just a few minutes drive to downtown.

    We will definitely be back.

    Absolutely gorgeous

My family and I were extremely pleased with our stay in this house. It was absolutely gorgeous, well maintained and very modern. The yard was beautiful and contained many amenities for outdoor living. It was close to Chatham and offered us choices regarding ocean beaching or using nearby Goose Pond.

The owners were phenomenally helpful and friendly. We felt very welcomed. Look forward to staying here again!

Jamie and Carolyn Eldredge are the owners at 21 Gilmartin Rd. My husband and I have lived in our home for over 34 years. We added onto the house twice, the last renovation was our updated kitchen. We have put a lot of sweat equity into our home over the years. I am a nurse for an organization that services Individuals who have developmental disabilities. My husband, Jamie, is a commercial fisherman and owns the fishing vessel ''Yellowbird''. We love our neighborhood and have raised 2 children and a golden retriever here. We fish the pond year round.

What is special about this property?
The property at 21 Gilmartin Rd. is truly family friendly. The house is located at the end of a cul-de-sac. There is only one other summer home on our road. Our home is clean, comfortable and updated. Our backyard is our greatest asset. We have a firepit surrounded by Adirondack chairs, party lights strung from the trees, outdoor teak dining table, cushioned chairs, a windmill and hydrangeas galore! We have a gas grill for outdoor cooking. The outdoor shower is a perfect way to end your day at the beach. There is a pristine fresh water pond just a path away. Over the years I have met many renters in the area who cannot believe how beautiful and private the location and pond is. The pond is stocked with trout twice a year and offers hours of peaceful fishing year round. Kayaking and paddle boarding are a great way to see the beauty of the surroundings. We are also surrounded by woods and trails. You can ride your bike through the neighborhood and get direct access to the Cape Cod Rail Trail bike path. There is also a ballfield, playground and skateboard park all within walking distance!

What is special about your town?
The town of Chatham sells itself. The downtown is quaint and filled with beautiful shops, restaurants, and bars. The Chatham Fish pier is a prime tourist attraction and a must see. Seals, dogfish and Sharks oh my! It's located next to Chatham Bars Inn on Shore Road. A nice drive to see where the other half lives! Chatham Lighthouse is picturesque and offers views of the Atlantic Ocean. If you like fresh seafood, you have found your haven.
