This light, airy, kid-friendly home is an easy, 5-minute walk to the SeaCrest Hotel and Old Silver Beach (with rights to public and private sections)--great for children, with soft sand (no rocks), shallow tide pools, toilets, showers, and a snack bar (but you can walk home for lunch). The rate includes Central Air, linens, high-speed Internet, modern kitchen, dishwasher, Washer/Dryer, hot & cold outdoor shower, swing set, gas-grill, and a spacious deck.
On the first floor, our house has a primary suite with tub/shower bathroom, a den with privacy doors and a queen sofa-bed, and a shower bathroom. On the second floor, it has a queen bedroom and a kids' room with three twin beds. Ours is a no-smoking, no-pets house.
The property has a large front yard, a large deck, and plenty of room for kids to play. A shed holds beach equipment and beach toys, including umbrella, cart, chairs, shovels, and pails. The house is on a quiet side street, a short walk to the public beach, and a 15-minute walk to the private beach, which is typically less crowded on weekends.

    Excellent
My family stayed for 2 weeks here last summer and had a wonderful time. We were very close to a beautiful beach and the backyard had a great playscape which my 3 kids loved! The deck out back was great for sitting out on summer nights. It was a perfect relaxing vacation. The owners made the whole process very easy, they gave great advice on things to do in Cape Cod, and they left travel guides for us to peruse. They had surfboards, games, water toys etc in the house, and the kitchen was well stocked with pans, cookbooks, and basic staples (salt, olive oil, condiments) so we didn't have to buy a lot of things we wouldn't use beyond our time there. I highly recommend this listing, great home and great owners!! show more show less

    Quintessential Cape Cod home!
My family and I (wife, 4 small kids, plus my parents) rented the house for a week. Loved it! It's a quintessential Cape Cod home perfect for your summer vacation. The house has AC for when it gets too hot / humid outside. Walking distance to the beach (private access) and Sea Crest Resort. The pirate ship playground in the backyard was a huge hit w/ the kids, and the adults (and kids as well) enjoyed dining on the outdoor patio. We cooked and grilled quite a bit, the house is stocked w/ everything you need. Plus HDTV, WiFi, and outdoor shower, we couldn't have been happier. Cyril was also super helpful, very friendly and responsive. You won't be disappointed. Thank you Cyril & Leanne! :) show more show less

    A gem!
A well-kept, charming cape within easy walking distance to Silver Beach. Great for kids, great without kids! The outdoor shower is the best! The close proximity to Falmouth Center makes it a great place for days on the sand and evenings in town. Cyril & Leanne responded to our questions and provided helpful answers. We'd definitely stay here again!

Almost like returning to a second home
Our family has returned to Old Silver Beach during the summer for vacation for over 20 years. This vacation home is so welcoming to several generations, that our grandchildren now look forward to sharing our vacation with us. They love the backyard ship and the deck, with the outside shower. As adults, we enjoy being pampered with fresh linens and towels and beds, that are so comfortable to sleep in.The home also provides internet service-so you can enjoy your morning coffee on the deck, while catching up on the morning news. The family brings their bikes, and all ride to the beach or walk. The beach is private to Old Silver Beach Association and is a benefit of the rental home. The water is warm and relaxing. The attention to detail in this vacation rental is what makes us return for the last 5 years.Any suggestion for individual needs is welcome. We have already started our summer vacation countdown for 2013! show more show less

    Great family vacation!
We had the distinct pleasure of staying at this home for a week this summer. It was truly a wonderful experience from beginning to end. The home was supremely family friendly with booster seats, pack and play, beach toys, balls, games, books, and outside play area. We didn't need to bring anything but ourselves! The beds are amazingly comfortable, the kitchen very well stocked with all the tools needed to cook anything you could want. The owners are very organized and receptive to requests and really took an interest in our stay. The private beach is an easy 10minute walk. The waves are not too big and our children even stopped to find crabs off the bridge on the walk to the beach (the nets of course were at the house as well!) We were able to ride/jog on the wonderful shining sea bike path directly from this home, it was about a mile through a beautiful trail away. This trail also happened to look over the most beautiful cranberry bogs and pond with a rope swing, absolutely enchanting! I highly recommend this home to anyone who desires an easy, relaxing family vacation. Falmouth provided a wonderful base camp for many other activities as well. Plymouth Plantation a beautiful colonial village was only 45 minutes away and the children loved learning about the Wampanoag Indians and the pilgrams, and the other way 10 miles Woods hole which was an easy ferry ride to Martha's Vineyard. We took our bikes and enjoyed the day biking there as well! There are so many wonderful family activities or just relax at the beach or in your own yard, the options are limitless! Also, in Woods Hole, just at the end of the bike path is the most amazing bakery aptly named "pie in the sky" and offers an array of fresh baked goods and smoothies. So many fun things to do, we had to save some to see next year! show more show less

    Relaxing, Comfortable, Perfect
We couldn't have asked for more. The house is beautifully furnished....all the way down to the dishes, pots, pillows, hand soap (yes, I loved the hand soap). It's classy yet comfortable. There is a charm you feel as soon as you walk in the door. We have a 2 1/2 year old and a 10 month old but I still found a way to you sink into the comfortable couches with a great book and feel the breeze from the windows, sit on the beautiful deck while grilling on the bbq, and just enjoy the overall peacefulness of the location. The beach is just minutes away. It exceeded expectations. show more show less

    Comfy Breezy Chic
When we first walked into this vacation home my first words were "Well, this is very nice!" We found a very clean, well appointed and exceptionally comfortable "home". The beds were very comfy as was the other furniture in the family and living rooms. The amenities were more than we could ask for, right down to the soap! You knew that the owners take great pride in their home.
The owners were also a pleasure to communicate with and made sure our stay was everything we'd hoped it would be.
There were many places to go in Falmouth and the surrounding towns, which we took advantage of everyday. There was an abundance of brochures outlining activities as well as restaurant guides. Having wireless internet service was a big plus! We didn't miss a Facebook moment!
Our granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed the backyard "ship". I have pictures and videos to prove it!
Old Silver Beach is a very family friendly beach which we enjoyed everyday.
I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone looking for a pleasant, restful retreat on Cape Cod!

    Great house for a family
We had a wonderful vacation in North Falmouth this summer. My family has stayed in many rentals over the years but this house was perfect for our family. A walk to Old Silver and the adjacent private beach both which are great beaches for swimming with young kids and for watching the sunset. Also close to the new bike path which is a quick trip to Woods Hole. Our 1 1/2 year old loved playing on the pirate ship. The house is very well equipped with a nice grill and lovely kitchen. I would recommend this house to anyone, but especially families with young children. show more show less

    Old Silver Beach Family Vacation
My family and I rented this house for the first time in July 2010 after visiting the Old Silver Beach area the previous summer. We have been renting on the cape for a number of years and this is by far the best rental we have stayed in.
I use the term rental loosely as this property feels more like a home than a rental, everything you could need is provided, all the necessities for the house and beach are right there at your disposal. For us location is key and this location is perfect, the beach is an easy 5 min walk (we did it everyday with 3 kids; ages 7, 5 & 2 ½) and the Falmouth area has something for everyone.
The kids loved the pirate ship, and the outdoor shower was a big hit as well. The owners made sure every detail was taken care of and were extremely communicative.
C’est un endroit idéal pour une famille avec des jeunes enfants ou même pour simplement relaxer. Nous le recommandons fortement sans aucune réserve!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to make this our permanent Cape Cod summer vacation spot for years to come!

We grew up in Boston and Cambridge, spending summers on the Cape for many years. Like most families, we have limited vacation time, but when we cannot be there, we enjoy sharing our house with other families.

What is special about this property?
When we want sun, it is an easy walk to Old Silver Beach, and when we want a cooler break from the beach, we return to a shady yard and a cool central A/C.

What is special about your town?
When you want time away from the beach, there is a lot to do on Main Street, in Falmouth, which has a good restaurants and shops, including a bookstore. The road to our house, in North Falmouth, leaves the highway before the Falmouth changeover traffic, so you can get in and out without the hassle.
