We stayed in Marcia and Bobs home for a whole month! We have rented in Falmouth for many years. In terms of warmth and hospitality, this experience was by far our best. Not only was the home perfectly clean, decorated in a cute coastal theme, very comfortable, well stocked, and in the ideal location for beach fun, but the home reflects the loving and generous spirit of the owners. I believe that's what made it our best experience ever.

Marcia and Bob are lovely people who care about their renters, and you will be in the best hands with them. This means a lot as an experienced renter, this is not always the case unfortunately.

The home is cozy and well laid out. The basement floor was a terrific bonus for our older teen who stays up late and sleeps in. He had his own entrance and exit and bathroom and could have guests from time to time as well. My younger teen enjoyed the backyard and walking to the private beach to play volleyball.

The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet and the water is right across the street. You have peeks of the bay from the porch and living room and master bedroom. We enjoyed walking across the street at sunset and strolling down a short path to sit right by the water and take in the beauty. The house was perfect for us in every way, and we are so grateful for the wonderful owners. They feel like family now, because they treated us that way with the respect and care we all deserve. From the first second of pulling into the driveway and being greeted by spectacular hydrangeas in deep and light purples and pinks, it was a beautiful, relaxing week of vacation on the Cape. The outside upper deck off the kitchen has a big table with an umbrella and you feel like you are in the upper canopy of trees. I liked to sit out here with my coffee in the morning and look out at the ocean pond, just visible through the trees out front and listen to the birds and look for the hawk we saw the first day. The back yard is a big green gorgeous lawn that the kids ran around on and admired the bunnies. The back shed has two adult bikes that we almost used, but instead just enjoyed the short walk to the private beach.

The beach was awesome. One day we even walked down the inlet on the back of the beach and saw osprey nests, a live horseshoe crab, lots of snails, hermit crabs and little swimming crabs. The boys fished off the jetty between the beach and the inlet and caught porgy and flounder. They also fished on the ocean pond at the end of the driveway down a little path to the shore.

The home inside is updated, comfortable and spacious. The upper floor has a bedroom with a queen, and a bedroom with a queen and a twin bunk bed that share the bathroom in the hallway, a comfortable living room and a well equipped kitchen (loved all the options to make coffee - pot, Keurig and press pot!) with a big table to sit at - we had three adults and 4 children and seats to spare. Great refrigerator, pots and pans, cutting boards, knives, silverware, and plenty of dinnerware and glasses. The downstairs had the same configuration of bedrooms and bath, plus another living room (with two more sleeping spaces that we did not use), washing machine and dryer, and a room full of goodies for the beach and fishing poles.

We really didn't need to bring most of the beach stuff we brought. Each room in the house was very private, and I could go into my first floor bedroom and study and not hear anyone else in the house. In addition to all that, it was lovely and easy to communicate with the homeowner Marcia. The linens, towels and beach towels were all provided and that made packing and clean up super easy. All the CDC regulations were followed for Covid-19 precautions, and the house was spotless. I really could not have imagined a better week. We travel with a bunch of Peace Corps friends each summer and it was our Massachusetts friends turn to be close to home this year. Next year, we are off to California or I'd be trying to reserve again for next year! show more show less

We recently spent a week at this lovely house. the house is well stocked beds are very comfortable and the linens supplied are plentiful and of great quality. The house has wall units for heat and air. The deck is great and we used it all the time. The TV is equipped so can watch whatever you want. The table is large enough so we could all sit and play games as we ate out on the deck most of the time. The beach is a short walk and private. Across the st is a pond and we had intentions of using it but never found the time. The house is located close to downtown and the restaurants. Dogs are welcome and that was important to us. Marcia was available for any questions and replied quickly. A perfect house for families. Nice back yard for games also. Washer and dryer top notch. You won't be disappointed. show more show less

We had a great stay! Loved your home! Very clean.
We really enjoyed the space in your home, so we could spread out. The new kitchen was very well-equipped, and it was great for all of us to be able to sit at your big table together. Beds were comfy! The kids loved the bunk beds and all the games. There were some great restaurants just a short drive to Falmouth. I really appreciated that when I put my three year- old to bed in the lower bedroom, we couldn't hear all the activity upstairs! We will definitely stay here again.

It was a great stay! Definitely a 5-star experience!
Our stay at this house was perfect! Our whole family was easily accommodated in the comfy beds. The split level allowed us to do different things - games in downstairs TV room, visit and watch TV upstairs. We cooked some of our meals in the very well equipped, newly renovated kitchen. The house has all the amenities we could have asked for - washer/dryer, pack'n play, blow dryer, lots of games, books and DVD's. Even bedside rails for the toddler! We appreciated being able to bring the dog. When we didn't cook, we dined at some of the great nearby local restaurants. We had fun exploring the many nearby trails, shops and activities. A 5-minute walk took us to the lovely association beach. We definitely enjoyed our stay at 42 Beach and look forward to returning another time!

Home Away From Home
We made our first trip to Cape Cod during the week of Thanksgiving which unfortunately was unseasonably cold this year. We thoroughly enjoyed the proximity of this location to many of the sites and experiences we were able to partake in during day trips. Everything is readily available within a short drive, the ocean with many beaches including a private beach which is available to guests at this home, Provincetown with amazing architecture and charming shops, delicious seafood meals at wonderful restaurants, shopping, history to explore and much more. With the inclement weather, we did spend a couple of days indoors in this tastefully decorated and family-friendly comfortable home. We easily envisioned ourselves wanting to return with our entire family (of 11) with plenty of room for all for a holiday or celebration. The home is well-appointed with space and options for rainy-day activities. We cozied up with the fireplace enjoying a view of the ocean pond through the front window. We enjoyed sharing in the preparation of sumptuous meals in the roomy kitchen-dining area and were provided with options to read or play one of a number of boardgames that are provided. We highly recommend this home as a very comfortable, family-friendly, pet-friendly location to spend quality time on vacation at any time of year. We plan to return.
