New Silver Beach (NSB) is a private family friendly beach community in the village of North Falmouth on Cape Cod. It is conveniently located just 15 mins from the Bourne Bridge and 25 mins from the Sagamore bridge, making it easily accessible once you are on Cape Cod – no getting stuck in Cape traffic on Route 6! NSB is a hidden gem of Cape Cod summer destinations and is located just north (1 mile) of its more well known neighbor, Old Silver Beach. The beach is private for the community and has perfect water temperatures for swimming all summer.
The cottage is only 0.7 miles away from the beach – a short walk (15mins) or an even shorter bike ride (5 mins). It has 2 bedrooms (1 with a queen bed, 1 with 2 x twin beds) and 1 full bath. Living room has a pull-out couch for potential extra sleeping room, TV and DVD player. Also, the basement is partially finished with a pull-out couch and a futon, which can easily sleep another 4 people – plenty of room to sleep more with blow up mattresses. As a bonus, there is also a ‘bunk house’ in the back yard, which has a full-sized bed and room to sleep more. Perfect for a kids’ hangout – also equipped with power outlets to run gadgets and lights.
The kitchen and bathroom were recently refurbished, including a gas range and brand new dishwasher. All your cooking needs are satisfied. Pots, pans, serving dishes, blender, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, Keurig, and all the needed kitchen utensils are there to make your favorite meals.
At the back of the house is a sun room which is cooled by an overhead fan. There is also a smart TV which can be connected to your streaming apps. Lots of windows which can opened to allow the cool breezes come through at night this make a great movie watching room or a relaxing place for a morning coffee or evening cocktail!
There is a back patio with outdoor table and chairs and gas grill, perfect for barbecues, outdoor meals or drinks or just relaxing. Yard is perfect for kids to run around or to play games such as cornhole. Out the back is the outdoor shower with hot and cold water – for rinsing off after a day at the beach or an invigorating morning shower.
The beach is private and only members of the New Silver Beach Improvement Association (NSBIA) are allowed access. The NSBIA is responsible for maintaining the beach with life guards, tennis court and children’s playground. The Association offers weekly activities – such as movie nights on the tennis courts and other activities for the kids – ask for details and dates. Also a short distance to the Shining Sea Bike Path which begins close by and continues all the way through downtown Falmouth and to Woods Hole – passing by picturesque Cranberry bogs, marshes and coastline. Located within 10 miles of 5 public golf courses, downtown Falmouth and a wide selection of restaurants is only a 12 minute drive. Woods Hole is only 20 mins away where you can catch the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard for a day trip or longer. read more show less
