Lisa and I are 'wash-a-shores' and now call Cape Cod our full time home. My parents honeymooned here in the late 1930's and I have been coming up from NJ since I was a child for Summer vacations. In 1996, we decided to buy a piece of the Cape and lay the foundations for our many many nieces and nephews (12 and counting). When we came up we bicycled everywhere and everyday. We have great neighbors and in the Summer Season the block is bustling. We enjoy long and lazy Summer nights under the stars. We listen to our tenants and try to make the cottage more enjoyable each year for you. We have created a pretty extensive Welcome Book with restaurants, featuring where we eat as 'locals' and why and the beaches in Dennis are breath taking. We live 40 minutes away and whether we come down for a day, or a weekend or after the Season ends, it is just like our 'Down the Shore' homes in NJ. You know you are on vacation when you open the door.

What is special about this property?
Hi - Lisa/I purchased this cottage in 1996. We've seen cottages being torn down or renovated to the point of our year round home, with all the bells and whistles. While we have listened to our tenants for the last two years, and are painting all the rooms for 2016, updating the bathroom and kitchen, adding a W/D, and re-finishing all the floors -- we still want our summer friends to feel relaxed the minute you open the front door. We live on a sandy road with a private beach at the end of it. So the place may get sandy....We have beach chairs, noodles, charcoal, horseshoes, books, games, puzzles, and TV's if you get bored. The entire back and side yards will be fenced for privacy by July 1st. We have linens for rent and we wash them - not you; the house will be spotless upon your arrival as I own a cleaning company. We have a Welcome Book to introduce you to us and our cozy cottage and provide seasoned wood & charcoal for the fire pit and grill. We have tenants who have become great friends and a suggestion book so we can become better hosts. Eat in, Eat out, have friends visit. Open the windows and use the fans or turn on the AC whichever you prefer...But relax...I repeat relax and treat our cottage as if it was yours. Tomorrow isn't promised - Live for TODAY.

What is special about your town?
Dennis is the home to the finest beaches on Cape Cod. The Nantucket sound is gentle and is located at the end of our block. On the Bay side you can walk a mile from shore into the Bay and still be standing in ankle deep water....great for the little ones. And the FOOD.... Everything is a really short drive from our cottage. High end and romantic - The Ocean House - The views and the bar..get there early. Tiki Bar outside on the dunes. Want a 'hole in the wall' but where we eat..Sesuit Harbor Cafe - cash only. bring your own beer and catch a sunset. The CC Rail Trail can be picked up within 1/2 mile of the cottage and its a protected path all the way out to Marconi Beach in Orleans. We love it here....Like to play golf - there are 25 public golf courses within 30 minutes of the Cottage. Open our Welcome Book or pick up a ''Cape Cod Life'' Magazine from our collection and go explore...and Oh if you need food/fun advice - call me....
