If you are looking for a waterfront vacation home in Harwich Port, then this charming spot on the shore of Wychmere Harbor is for you. It is the north wing apartment of a private estate with lots of privacy and includes the use of a deep water dock. It is walking distance to Merkel Beach at the end of the road and to the village of Harwich Port.

There is a living/dining/kitchen area on the first floor with cathedral ceilings and a fireplace. There are beds for seven, as well as a pull out couch in the living room. The master bedroom is on the first floor overlooking the harbor. The master bath is sky-lit with a bath and separate shower. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and another bath with shower.

The building is set well back from the road, with two driveways and parking for up to three cars. There is an Osprey nest on the dock. Each spring an Osprey couple arrives to the nest and raises a family.

A Wonderful Place

I rented this lovely place for three summers. It is a wonderful and peaceful setting, with a walk down the lawn to the dock at Wychmere Harbor. A short walk down the street to the public beach makes it ideal for a long day at the beach or many quick swims. It is a short walk into the village to shops and restaurants. The breezes off the water are refreshing and make you want to have summer never end. The first floor master has a slider to the private back yard and beautiful views of the harbor. The kitchen is spacious and comfortable and the upstairs is private and cozy. I highly recommend it! show more show less

Wonderful View, Beautiful Home, Peaceful Escape

I write this as I pack to leave at the end of our two-week stay. The pictures on the website don't do justice to the amazing view through the wall of window in the master bedroom. I sit just 10 yards to the harbor taking in the site and watching the osprey family nested over the dock as the young ones prepare for their first flights. Sorry we will miss it.

Our two weeks here have been heavenly. Everything you could need is at hand and Joan and her family have been perfect hosts. They have a lovely, warm family. My husband and I brought our two dogs and all had a great time. We highly recommend this spot and will return as soon as we can. Our thanks to the owners!
