Perfect location in Harwich Port. Located on a quiet street a half-mile from shops and restaurants, and less than a mile from Bank Street Beach. A quick 6 minute drive (2 miles) to Red River Beach. It’s a quick walk (there is a sidewalk that connects to Main Street) or ride into town but when you return, peace and seclusion await. There is a path from the backyard that leads to a conservation area, with 2 miles of beautiful walking and running trails. There is plenty of room to relax away from any noise and traffic.

Our spacious, airy home is set on a half-acre of land with a large yard and two large decks for entertaining. Freshly renovated for the 2022 season with renovated bathrooms and a new kitchen that flows to the dining room and open concept living room. Beautiful large patio doors lead you from the dining room to the deck, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or relaxing during sunset. Outdoor relaxation is complete with a wood burning fire pit, outdoor shower, and dining table that seats 8.

All new hardwood floors throughout mixed in with grandfathered terracotta tile. Drift off to sleep on new Casper mattresses, all new linens and towels (included) and carefully curated furnishings. There is newly installed Air Conditioning, with a remote controlled unit in each bedroom as well as the main space.

There is one bedroom located on the main floor and three additional bedrooms upstairs. There are two full bathrooms as well as a half bath located in the powder room.

The kitchen has everything you need. The washer/dryer is conveniently located on the main floor. There are amenities such as very fast high speed Internet and a Nespresso machine.

The property is a 12 minute drive to the Wequassett Resort and a 17 minute drive to either the Chatham Bars Inn or Ocean Edge.

    A wonderful weekend on the Cape

    When I go to the Cape, I want the house to be a part of the experience. A place to relax, recharge and connect, I spend a lot of time looking for the right rental home so that we are comfortable during our downtime.

    Grace's home was the perfect place for a recent weekend stay; it had everything my family needed and then some. Here are a few important highlights (in my opinion):

    • Grace is transforming her home into a comfortable, stylish and well-equipped Cape retreat. From the furnishings and bed linens to the coffee bar and appliances, she has made thoughtful choices to create a welcoming haven for her guests.

    • Each bedroom is outfitted with an incredibly comfortable bed and quality linens. Honestly, it was hard to get up the morning because staying in bed seemed like a really good option! Grace also provided all towels (bath and beach), so there was a lot less to pack.

    • The open-concept kitchen, dining and living room made hanging out enjoyable. With high ceilings and plenty of windows, the space was bright and airy. Nearly every window offered a beautiful view of the conservation lands in the back. The large, smart television was perfect for catching up on shows, and the beautiful Serena & Lily dining table was a great space for a meal or game night.

    • The kitchen was fully equipped with new appliances, lovely dinnerware and every tool you could need. Grace also provided paper towels, napkins and cleaning supplies, so again, less to bring!

    • While we didn't spend a lot of time in the yard (or beautifully furnished decks!), there was plenty of space to do so. Next time we'll be sure to enjoy the fire pit and Adirondack chairs!

    • And lastly, the location was fantastic. Harwich Port is a lovely, walkable town with plenty of restaurants, shops and Sound-facing beaches. We enjoyed strolling through the neighborhoods on our morning walks with the dog. And getting to other Cape towns and beaches was a breeze.

    Hi! I'm a native New Englander who enjoys traveling both near and far. My favorite places to visit are Harwich Port and Cabo San Lucas. I enjoy testing out different accommodation styles and experiences in order to return home and create a welcoming experience for guests on the Cape.

    What is special about this property?
    The beautiful high ceilings and sunlight that beam into our house every day. It has an open airy feel that we instantly fell in love with. A close second is our private backyard that has a secret path onto walking trails that are located in the neighboring conservation area. Sitting on the deck listening to birds singing in the morning is magical.

    What is special about your town?
    We love our easy proximity to Bank Street Beach. Harwich Port is an amazing location that allows for a quick ferry ride to Nantucket via the Freedom Ferry as well as easy drives to Brewster, Chatham, Dennis, and Orleans to allow you to explore the entire central Cape Cod area.

    Some of our local favorite Harwich Port destinations include:
    Dr. Gravity's Kite Shop for kites and beach toys
    Solis for adorable Harwich Port clothing, beach bags and accessories
    Sativa for everything from luxurious bath and body products and candles to local pottery, books and cards
    Dune for fabulous original, local jewelry

    Our favorite restaurants are:

    The Seal Pub and Cafe (great little bar for lunch or dinner, and they have amazing quiche in the mornings!)
    Mooncussers Tavern (for a fantastic dinner and dessert experience)
    Lanyard Bar and Grill (best for burgers, wings, and a great fish sandwich)
    Sundae School (for an ice cream with homemade whipped cream!)

    Harwich Port is a special place to visit - once you're here you'll instantly fall in love with this beautiful, vibrant community.
