Here is a little information about Harwich, which consists of seven villages and stretches from the Brewster town line to Nantucket Sound, encompassing freshwater ponds, cranberry bogs and offers an old fashioned town center. Pleasant Lake is located on the Cape Cod Rail Trail and you can visit our friends Todd and Greta at the Pizza Shark on Route 124. A popular stop for pizza and ice creams for locals, as well as visitors.
Harwich has 16 saltwater beaches on Nantucket Sound, which is known for its warmer waters. Amongst the beaches you find Red River Beach, my personal favorite.
If you are considering a Nantucket day trip, you can catch the Freedom Ferry from Saquatucket Harbor, next to Brax Landing Restaurant. There you can enjoy waterfront dining and absolutely amazing seafood. The lobster roll is to live for.
