Sheila and Fred Di Maggio retired to the Cape in 2016 after vacationing here for 40 years. They hail from upstate New York and are happy to now have a beach house available for their 3 grown children! Sheila is a retired school librarian and Fred is a retired economic developer and lobbyist. They are avid cyclists and love walking the bay beaches and sailing on Pleasant Bay and visits to the Truro Vineyards.
What is special about this property?
The house underwent a major renovation in 2017. An addition of 700 sq. ft was done, adding a garage, 1st fl. laundry room & a fully stocked pantry. The 2nd floor addition created a huge master bedroom suite, with KING bed, and sitting area, with couch and desk. This bedroom connects to the middle bedroom, providing privacy with french doors with blinds but easy access to the middle bedroom.
Also in 2017, central air conditioning was added to the 1st floor living space. The den was renovated and repainted. A brand new outdoor shower and 550 sq. ft stone patio and fire pit and landscaping were added.
The downstairs full bath, will be renovated this spring.
Best of all....the beach is just over a mile away and you can pick up the Cape Cod Bike Trail just down the street!
What is special about your town?
It's a quaint town with antique stops, art galleries, a 5 star resort in Ocean Edge, away from the hustle bustle of the south and outer cape. Brewster has 7 bay beaches, with the ''Brewster Flats'', where the tide goes out a mile....perfect for kids of all ages to safely play in tidal pools, and learn about the ocean. Parents can read a book, build sand castles with your kids, or just bask in the sun with a glass of wine or a cold beer.
Ride an inner tube down Paines Creek beach as the gentle tide goes out to the bay. Life is good!
