Spacious, clean, modern cottage in a fantastic location. Cottage by the Sea is a 4BR/2Bath open concept with a private, fully fenced yard, outdoor shower & patio for outdoor entertaining. You are just a 4 minute walk to deeded rights to Long Pond, a 716 acre freshwater pond for swimming, kayaking or fishing. Walk the bike path to Pleasant Lake General Store (now Pizza Shark!) for pizza or ice cream. In 10 minutes or less you can get to Red River Beach, Blank Street Beach, or downtown Harwich Port for boutique shopping/restaurants and bars. There is a washer and dryer on the first floor for ease, as well as two bedrooms and a full bath on both floors.

The home sleeps ten comfortably, with a 4 bed kid's retreat (bunk bed and two twins) and window AC units in all bedrooms and the living room for comfort. There is a high chair, booster seat and pack and play for the little ones, as well as a bucket of beach toys and board games. Non-shedding pets may be allowed with prior approval.

Our cottage is within minutes to the area's best attractions, making it perfect for a large family, 2 smaller families or a group of friends. Catch a Harwich Mariners, Chatham Anglers or Orleans Firebirds baseball game minutes away.

    Had the Best Vacation in Harwich. Laura's home was so amazing. Plenty of space for 6 adults and 3 children!! House is equipped with everything we needed. It was sl close to pond and just a few miles from both the Bay and the Ocean. Don't hesitate with this one!!

    Family Fun on the Cape!

    My husband and I spend time on the Cape each summer. This year, our daughter, son in law and three grandsons joined us. Everything needed from toys, high chair, pack and play, stroller and plenty of beach toys, was provided! The little beach area on Long Pond is a short walk and the water is warm and clear. We had plenty of room for the seven of us to enjoy a wonderful week together. We would definitely stay there again!!

    My family has been vacationing on Cape Cod for many years and this summer we spent two memorable weeks at the "Cottage by the Sea"in Harwich. We had an action-packed stay, in part because the house is so close to the Rail Trail, ponds and beaches, baseball games and live music. The Rail Trail is about a block from the house providing easy access to bicyclists and hikers alike. The beaches were close enough to take in morning yoga classes on the beach.
    The house itself is very comfortable. The chefs in the family appreciated the well-stocked kitchen and the counter space to accommodate several helpers. The dining room and outside patio provide ample seating; two large couches are perfect for conversation. The bedrooms are quiet and private and the linens that are provided are greatly appreciated. Laura and her manager, Gina, quickly responded to our requests, making our stay even more comfortable. show more show less

    Great Place to Stay on The Cape

    The house was even better than the pictures. Stocked with amenities, there wasn't anything we were wishing we had. Laura was quick to respond when we had questions, and check in and check out instructions we're clear and easy. We'll definitely stay here with our family again. It was perfect for our needs.     Hi! We are Dan and Laura Mahoney, native New Englanders who grew up making childhood memories in Cape Cod. Now, with four small children and two dogs of our own, we feel so incredibly lucky to still be able to visit such a special place. Our home in Harwich is meant to be family friendly and quintessential Cape Cod, and there to help our guests make those special memories as well. Dan is a pitching coach for the Cleveland Guardians, and Laura is a lawyer, and we spend most of our year in northern Virginia.     What is special about this property?
    We love the home's large fully fenced in yard, great for kids and pets. The outdoor shower is probably our personal favorite part of the day after the beach, and we also love grilling on the patio. Being so close to the General Store and bike path has been awesome, as well as walking to our private beach on Long Pond. But honestly, the entire Cape is just so special. In the fall we love taking walks around the Cranberry Bog down the road.
