Each bedroom has a unique look, color, and style - to make you feel like you are home by the seaside....You can walk to a private lagoon and enjoy the sunrise or sunset, then sip a cool drink relaxing on the large deck. It sits on a 1/2 acre lot, a quiet location with great neighbors. Great for families and couples. Cable and internet are available.

    This was a great vacation, and the Holmes house is so nice - spacious, clean, and convenient to downtown OB, the golf course and beach. You can walk just about anywhere from OB. We had the best time, and will definitely be back!

    We have stayed at the Holmes house for years and it is a gem! The quiet neighborhood gives the feel of home, but it's just 5 minutes from downtown. We can walk to the lagoon to see the sunrise and sunset and lounge on the great big deck in the backyard. There is a finished basement for the teens, and plenty of space throughout this beautiful, clean house. We just love coming here!

    Darlene's home is super cute. Very clean, well kept and very close to town. The basement was perfect for the kids to play and the yard was great to host friends and bbq. I would definitely rent this house again.

    My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the house! It is wonderful! We enjoyed ourselves, Its quite obvious that the owners of the house take great pride in their home because it was the way that my wife and I would keep ours. We love it!

    We stayed in this house to vacation with friends, and we really love the open space in the main living area, and the large deck that looks out into the yard. Love the basement, which is great for kids or an extra guest and the location being so close to OB and downtown.
    I have stayed many years and we are going back this summer! We can't wait!

    We stayed at the Holmes house in 2010, and had a wonderful time! It's a clean, warm house with lots of beautiful things, close to the beach and just a bike ride a way from downtown. But quiet and remote enough for a relaxing vacation. Each room has its own style and really makes you feel like you are living at home...while on vacation. We will be back.....

    If your looking for peace and quiet, layered with the tranquility of GOD, rush don't walk to the Holmes property on Martha's Vineyard. As soon as your feet hit the gravel driveway of the property, you have arrived for the vacation of a lifetime! Upon opening the door with your key, you will immediatley feel the love that so many others have experienced before you. Peaceful nights and warm seaside days are in walking distance.     This beautiful house is our place of refuge. We are a family of four with a busy schedule, so coming to the Vineyard every year is time for relaxing and fun in the sun. We love to take walks down to the lagoon, rest on the beach and fellowship with friends from all over the east coast. It's our home away from home. We live in Maryland, and drive up to spend time with family and friends and every year it gets better - I have been coming up to the Vineyard since I was 14 and always wanted to have a house that I could hand down to my children. This is our happy place.

    What is special about this property?
    This house is blessed. Blessed with a great location minutes from downtown, and within walking distance from the beach lagoon. We have a fabulous backyard with wonderful neighbors. We also enjoy a cool basement with open access for the kids to have fun, watch tv, and play. Each room is air-conditioned, unique, and special and provides a place for growth, rest and solitude while on vacation. Plenty of room, the house sits off the road, with a quiet neighborhood but close enough to even take a morning run to the state beach and inkwell if one prefers. This will be your happy place too!

    What is special about your town?
    Oak Bluff is the most populated of the towns in Martha's Vineyard. That's why we like it so much. You don't really need a car coming from our house. There arer ubers or you can take a 15 minute walk to downtown Circut Ave OB. There are many boutiques and restaurants and great beaches in Oak Bluff where many activities are happening all summer long. Whether it's going to the Flying Horses Carousel for the kids to ride the horses and grab the golden ring, or eating at our favorite Jimmy Seas and our favorite Mad Martha's Icecream, we wouldn't want to live anywhere else. We love OB, it's our happy place town.
