What is special about this property?
The house is located in Harwich and is on Herring Run Road, This is near the Cape Cod Rail Trail for biking, running, walking. Also adjacent is the Harwich Conservation Lands.
The beautiful Herring River, West Reservoir, and buffering woodlands are all within walking distance. The land surrounds the West Reservoir (fresh water) and East Reservoir (brackish). Trails offer views of wind ruffled water and sweeping salt marsh. Watch for ospreys and the secretive black-crowned night heron in spring and summer. Each April, herring swim upstream along a herring ladder at the west trailhead. Canoeists and kayakers can launch near each trailhead. There is a double seater kayak at the house for your enjoyment. Also within walking distance of the house is Big Rock Oysters: where you can pick up fresh seafood and the Bike Depo is around the corner - where you can rent bikes for your family for the week. A few golf courses (Cranberry Golf (18 holes), Captains Golf (18 holes) and a 9 hole course in downtown Harwichport. Don't forget to visit the Cape Cod Lavender Farm!
