Description

Remaining available 2025 dates: August 8-11 and August 22-28
Eastham has BOTH ocean and bay beaches -- which makes the location of this home extra special! (4-5 night minimum stay.) My home is a two minute drive to the National Seashore Center in Eastham. Located in a quiet neighborhood, you are a short walk away from Eastham's historic town green where free Monday night concerts are held all summer, colorful arts and craft shows are a regular weekend event, and you can take a free windmill tour. Walk to get a coffee, lunch or snack at the local deli and sit on the town green to relax and enjoy the view before strolling home.

Located directly between both picturesque bay AND ocean beaches, you can easily spend the day on a pristine ocean beach then take a quick drive across town to the bay for a pleasant swim in calm, sunset-lit water. From home, it's a quick 1.5 mile drive to either an ocean or a bay beach. Multiple ponds are even closer (check Google map below) and the Cape Cod bike trail is 2/10's miles away, popular for safe and scenic biking, jogging, strolling, and more. Or, enjoy early morning yoga classes (with free parking) -- held bayside, 7:30-8:30am in-season at First Encounter Beach-- while listening to the rhythm of the tide and enjoying the stillness of the beach before the sun bathers arrive.

Stroll 4/10's mile to the Little Capistrano bike shop for wheels (or bring your own bike) then head directly onto the Cape Cod bike trail for a day of riding and site seeing. If the nearby bay or ocean beaches are too breezy or crowded, visit the free beach at Great Pond for a swim --or to kayak (they deliver!). It's only 6/10's miles away.

Walk or drive (< 2 min) to the National Seashore's Salt Pond Visitor's Center to check their daily schedule of events (for canoe tours on the pond, story telling or walking tours on the beach), visit the museum plus watch films of how the cape was formed. Our new state-of-the-art library is also within walking distance, with lovely 2nd floor views of Long Pond -- with swimming access behind the building. Have kids? Don't miss the children's story hour.

This vacation home has three bedrooms (1 king bed, 1 double, 1 with two twin beds), all with AC units, and two full bathrooms. The living space is an open floor design with AC units and includes a full kitchen and dining table that expands to seat 6 --or better yet, dine outdoors on the deck! (see photo). You can also retire to a separate den for some quiet time and/ or to access a tv monitor for gaming (BYO) or connecting to your Netflix, etc. account.

My home also includes HDTV, extended cable (which includes free movies), wifi, a VCR/DVD, a dishwasher, and coffee maker. Central vac units are on both levels. Added for 2024: a gas grill, outdoor glass-top dining table(s) & updated AC units.

For an added fee, bed linens and towels can be provided for visitors flying in from a different part of the country or from a different country. There is no washer or dryer onsite however, if needed, there's easy access to one across the road at my handyman's home.

Text, email or call me for possible flexibility regarding starting and ending dates that appear unavailable; I can flex on MY time in each month. Note: I reply within hours! I also provide a a detailed list of recommended sites, restaurants and more.

    Perfect Eastham Vacation Home
    September 2023

Located in a quiet private setting, this home offers a fully-equipped kitchen, open living room, three bedrooms, and two baths. It is immaculately clean and very attractively decorated. We have enjoyed being here for two vacations and plan to return again next summer. The owner of the home is very concerned for your comfort and wellbeing. We like staying in Eastham, a perfect place to unwind, yet close enough to fulfill our needs.

While your home is very similar to where we've stayed in the past, it is different in that there are so many lovely touches to your home: plants, extra pillows and blankets, hair dryers, enough cleaning products, a nice notebook with tidbits and tips, etc. For example, I did yoga on First Encounter Beach this morning! It was fabulous - thank you for the suggestion.

    Owner Response:

Thank you! Since the house is my home 1 or 2 weeks each month between May and October, I am happy to keep it well stocked for my renters as well. I am also pleased to provide up-to-date recommendations for different types of restaurants, panoramic views, groceries and more. Thanks for texting me about staying next summer on your drive home!

We had such a great time and really loved the house!!! It all worked out really well and was a great set up for the five of us. I'll definitely have to come back and stay here again because it was perfect.

Thank you so much for a wonderful week at your home. I hated to leave. We were so comfortable and took your advice on where to go and what to see. We loved every place and if it wasn't for you, probably wouldn't have experienced as much as we did so thank you. Your notebook on everything was wonderful; a great help!
I also loved the way it was so clean and also quiet.

We really enjoyed our stay at your home. It was a good fit for me and my family. We were very busy and had a great time.
I can't believe that three of us left so many items behind! Thank you for contacting me about them asap and bundling them up for my pick up.

    Gail,
It was wonderful visiting Eastham again and your home was in a very convenient location for us.
Thank you for notifying us immediately about the items we left behind. I really appreciate you taking the time to get them back to us via mail so promptly. I didn't even realize they were missing! Many thanks!

    Lovely
    July 2019

My husband, toddler and I recently returned from a wonderful week in Eastham. The house was cozy, spotless and fully equipped. It is nestled on a quiet dirt road, but close to both bay and ocean beaches. We have stayed in many places, but this home is by far one of the cleanest and most comfortable. I'm very picky, and this house met all of my standards. The owner was organized, accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything that we needed.

I am a Marriage and Family therapist, so my home comes built in with calm, positive energy! I am always available to you via text for your questions and to provide recommendations and tips that only we locals know: for example, where the best panoramic ocean view is from you car, the best yoga studio, or the best local ice cream shops.
Plus, right across the street is my friendly handyman! Between the two of us, we've got you completely covered!

I welcome your inquiry by text or phone and the chance to chat with you further about your vacation needs either now or any time during your stay.

What is special about this property?
Welcome to my personal summer home with easy access 1.5 miles to both the ocean and the bay. It is a chef's kitchen and it comes well stocked with pantry items, common medications, cooler bags/ ice packs, and refrigerated staples for your use. My home is on a wooded lot in a small quiet neighborhood on a cul de sac with only two other homes.

Outdoors, help yourself to the tiny herb garden. Enjoy your meals outside watching pairs of cardinals flit around the backyard in the AM, rabbits hop by or a fox amble down the road around dusk. See wild turkeys wander through occasionally.

You are a short walk away from Eastham's historic town green where free Monday night concerts are held all summer, colorful arts and craft shows are a regular weekend event, and the windmill tours are free. Get a coffee, lunch or snack at the local deli and sit on the town green to relax before walking home.

Our new state-of-the-art library is also within walking distance with lovely 2nd floor views of Long Pond. Check out their weekly events which always include a children's story hour.

Walk to the National Seashore's Salt Pond Visitor's Center to check their daily schedule of events and visit the museum. Bring your own bike or, from home, stroll on over to the Little Capistrano bike shop then hop directly on the Cape Cod bike trail for a day of riding and site seeing.

There is much to do within walking (or biking) distance!

What is special about your town?
Note that Eastham has BOTH ocean and bay beaches -- which makes the location of my home extra special! People from around the world visit our national ocean beaches which have steep cliffs and our calm bay beaches to see our spectacular sunsets. Sometimes cloudy or stormy days can result in some of the most picturesque sunsets and low tide at First Encounter Beach provides the opportunity to walk out nearly a mile!
