Description

Welcome to Snug Harbor, a wonderful 3+ bedroom home set on a private lot on a dead-end paved road. Beat the traffic, and wake up in Eastham on Saturday morning: this is a Friday-Friday rental. Just a mile to Cooks Brook or Sunken Meadow Beach on Cape Cod Bay; 2 miles to Nauset Light Beach in the National Seashore; and an easy ride to the bike trail. Our home is currently undergoing significant updates, new photos will be available in the spring!

This well-appointed, spotless home has everything you need for your family vacation or getaway with friends, including central air, wood floors, a fenced-in yard, outdoor shower, spacious living area, private deck, garage with extra fridge, EV charger, first floor laundry and nice-sized bedrooms.

On the first floor there is a bedroom with a queen bed and full bath across the hall. The large kitchen is exceptionally well stocked with everything you need to cook in, grill on the patio, or serve up a delivered meal. The dining area and umbrellaed table on the back deck both seat 6-8. Upstairs you will find a second full bath, the master bedroom with a king bed, another bedroom with a queen bed and a twin bed, and attached to this bedroom is another sleeping space with two twin beds and a full-sized bed, great for the little ones or overnight guests! The living room smart tv has cable and a DVD player; two bedrooms have additional TVs for your streaming devices. There are books, toys and games for rainy days, and some yoga/light exercise equipment. Enjoy the afternoon breeze under the oaks in the fenced-in backyard, nap in the hammock in the pines, pick blueberries or enjoy a game of cornhole; the property is a lovely, level setting on a cul-de-sac, with a basketball hoop for your use. Look up at night to watch Nauset Light's beam light the sky and know no matter where you are the ocean is never far away!

Snug Harbor is also off the back road that goes to all the Eastham bayside beaches and ponds, and Orleans Center; in the other direction, the Wellfleet Audubon and cinema/drive-in are just a few minutes away. Easy ride to the bike trail too!

Conveniently close to seafood market, cafe, deli, ice cream, mini golf and bike rental, Snug Harbor is a 5 minute drive to the Wellfleet Drive-In and Audubon, 10 minutes to Orleans or Wellfleet center, 15 minutes to Brewster or Nickerson State Park, 20 minutes to Provincetown or Chatham.

Snug Harbor is a Friday to Friday rental during the summer. Off-season is available as well, just ask for nightly rates; 3-night minimum preferred. Please note we provide bed linens, but bath and beach towels are only supplied for an additional fee. Also, there is a Ring doorbell at the front door for safety and security.

Christine was so helpful and kind. The place was in the perfect location and midway between everything. House was very comfortable, clean and spacious. Even with the hurricane approaching, we still enjoyed being there. Very windy but otherwise perfect.

The accommodations were perfect. From bikes to corn hole to kids toys, everyone was entertained. The highlights were boogie boarding on the ocean side, crab catching on the bay beaches, swimming and catching fish: 7 big stripers and 2 bluefish. What a haul! Joe's fishing dreams come true!

    Excellent stay

We had a fantastic time. The house was incredibly clean and comfortable. The homeowners were very easy to get ahold of if needed. We are looking forward to returning next year!

    Start of Summer

Our family had a fun and relaxing time in this wonderful home. Great big backyard with a deck where we spent many evenings. The house is in a really cute and peaceful neighborhood. We easily biked to the bay beaches and the bike trails. With little effort you can bike to the ocean. The house was clean and well taken care of. We'll be back.

My husband and I are pseudo empty-nesters enjoying more trips and travel. We love active vacations, places where we can walk and hike. We also enjoy sampling local food and brew pubs. After vacationing for twenty years in Eastham it was finally the right time to buy our own Cape home.

What is special about this property?
Snug Harbor is special for its family-friendliness. It is well-suited to multigenerational family vacationers, with a first-floor bedroom across from one full bath, perfect for grandparents, and a room with twin beds and play space upstairs ideal for children. It is a large property situated on the circle of a small cul-de-sac, ideal for kids' play and riding bikes. Most of our neighbors are year-round residents. There is a basketball hoop, and a hammock under the pines in the side-yard. It also features a fenced-in backyard, Adirondack chairs in the shade of the oak trees, and a large back deck. The bayside beaches are a mile away, the National Seashore (ocean) beaches are an easy 2-mile drive or bike ride. The Rail Trail bike path is a very short ride from our neighborhood. Before bed, be sure to stand in the front yard and look up across the circle... you can see Nauset Light's beam sweep across the sky, reminding you no matter where you go on the Cape, the ocean is never far away!

What is special about your town?
Eastham offers both bayside beaches and oceanside beaches, as well as numerous fresh-water kettle ponds with beaches and recreational possibilities. The bayside with its warm, gentle surf and tidal flats is especially attractive to young families, while the National Seashore offers the surf and scenery appreciated by all ages. Wellfleet is a very short ride - especially close are the Audubon Society and the Drive-In - and Provincetown is a popular day trip.
