It's six months since we were there, and my three kids (ages 4, 4 and 7) haven't yet stopped asking when we're going to back! The charm of the playground adjacent to the Red Roof cottages -- including a 15-foot actual boat turned into the world's most pirate-friendly playhouse, complete with three slides! -- cannot be overstated. We had to drag our kids out of there to get to the beach. Adults were just as enthusiastic about the hammocks and swinging chairs artfully arranged in the trees; perfect spots for finishing a novel. We will be back.

More practically: Paul and Mary make all the logistics easy and are super easy to reach, and they keep their classic old-school Cape cottage stocked with so many things I forgot and then desperate needed, from bug spray to balsamic vinegar. They clearly love the place, and are constantly upgrading; a perfectly adequate grill on the deck was magically replaced by a super-large, shiny, brand-new one the day after we arrived. The lower deck is big enough for a party; the upper deck offers unforgettable sunset views. We were wonderfully happy here, and heartily recommend the Red Roof cottages. show more show less

Wonderful experience! Can't beat the location. Paul and Mary were very friendly and accommodating. Can't wait till next year!

This will be the fourth year for our 13 member, 3 generation family to enjoy the two red roof cottages, a great space where we can all relax together. My favorite amenities are the upper deck for having morning coffee and at the end of the day for watching the sunset on the bay, the outdoor shower, and the large front deck where we can all join up for outdoor dinners. The kids love the bay (just across the road) and the playground (which is right between the two houses). The ocean, good restaurants, bike trails are all easy to get to. Paul and Mary make it easy to enjoy this little piece of paradise: everything you need is right there, from lobster pots to beach chairs. We feel like locals for one week! show more show less

Three generations of our family have been renting the two Red Roof Cottages (Cottage A, Property # 5997 & Cottage B, # 6620) for two weeks each summer since 2004, making 2014 our 11th year vacationing there. This is the perfect place for a large family reunion each year. The grandkids have plenty of space outside the cottages for fun and games. Large decks allow for other family members on the Cape to join us for outdoor BBQ’s. It is just a short walk to Cape Cod Bay for swimming during high tide and games such as touch football and soccer on the sand flats when the tide goes out. Also it is just a short drive to the ocean. We have been renting the Red Roof Cottages for 10 years. These cottages have been well maintained and updated. The cottages have a lot of light and a wonderful breeze since they are up on a hill. There are multiple decks for relaxing, and the upper deck has spectacular sunset views. All the amenities of home (washer/dryer, flat screen TV, WiFi) are there while being within a very short walk to the beach. The bay side is wonderful for kids to play.
