Description

The 'Dunelight Beachhouse' is located in the first row at the top of a sand dune with spectacular views overlooking Cape Cod bay. Just a short walk on a sandy path over the dune out of the back door leads you directly to the private beach. The sandy beach is just a perfect playground for children during low and high tide. During low tide you could even walk approx. 1 mile into the bay and explore the nature.

Our charming 'Dunelight Beachhouse' is just a perfect place for you and for family vacation. It has a beautiful wood cathedral ceiling and open floor plan. It offers a spacious fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, electric stove, dish washer, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender, mixer and other useful tools which will fulfill your needs. The open space area combines the dining room (offering a spacious table, 4 chairs and a bench) with the living room which invites for relaxing.

Off the dining and living room area, sliding glass doors lead you to the large deck. Here you can enjoy your meals while having gorgeous views over Cape Cod Bay or watching spectacular sunsets. An outdoor gas grill completes the opportunity to prepare your lunch and/or supper directly on the deck.

The house offers three bedrooms. One master bedrooms with a king-size bed, a second bedroom with a queen-size bed and the third one offers twin beds (max. number of sleeps are 6 people due to septic system). All rooms do have a ceiling fan. There is a full bathroom with a big shower and in addition you will find a great outdoor shower for your convenience. Washer and dryer is available as well.

The ‘Dunelight Beachhouse’ is just a perfect place to enjoy the nature and for relaxing. There are a lot of opportunities like riding bike, hiking, visiting ocean beaches, sight-seeing, playing golf and of course not to forget
a Whale watching tour!

Dunelight Beachhouse ... A Treasure!

A lovely spot, right on the sands of the bayside ~ beautiful sunsets, spacious sandbars and quiet moments are just a few steps off of the deck of Dunelight Beachhouse. The welcoming home is perfect for our family to come together ~ grandparents, parents and children. Simply beautiful ... so special... a treasure!

Epic Low Tides, Family Fun

This was our second time staying and we are glad we chose to return.We have two young children and the beach is perfect for them (and for the adults too.) At low tide they are building sand castles on the closest flat and finding hermit crabs, snails, tiny little fish (last year we saw horseshoe crabs and a moon snail.) You can explore with the kids or watch them from under your beach shade. At high tide we swam and snorkeled, and also sat under our sun shade I liked that there is enough room on the beach still at high tide to relax on the sand.

There are three bedrooms. The one with the king bed is off the kitchen, and the other two are down the hall, this worked great for us. My parents stayed with us for a few days, and the room off the kitchen gave them a feeing of being a little more separate. Another must-have in this house: the outdoor shower. It's refreshing to take a hot shower on a cool morning out there, but also a necessity with sandy beach kids.

If you're looking for activities away from the house, the Wellfleet Mass Audubon Sanctuary is nine minutes away, and has great programs for kids (like hands on habitats and seashore ramble), and adults too (kayaking.) Sign up ahead of time online.

Final words: Can't beat this beach. We love staying here :)
