Description

The edge of the world awaits! Sweeping views of the Great Atlantic from every vantage point in this two story, contemporary home located within the iconic National Seashore. Wake to the sunrise every morning, and be lulled to sleep by the ocean waves at night. Enjoy your breakfast and coffee on the large deck overlooking the ocean, and finish the day with drinks by the propane fire pit at the edge of the bluff!

This three bedroom home, with lovely and spacious yard and outdoor shower is only a half mile walk to the public beach and Nauset Lighthouse! Direct access to Nauset Beach (which also has parking) is just a quick walk or bike ride away, and there are many trails and an abundance of wildlife to admire.

The interesting layout of the home takes full advantage of the amazing views. The upstairs portion is accessed by stairs outside the house, and features a spacious living room, dining area, kitchen, one full bath and one bedroom with a queen size bed. The, large furnished deck with a gas grill offers panoramic views and a perfect spot to relax and take in the spectacular surroundings.

The lower level has 2 bedrooms, a TV room with breakfast bar, and a full bath.
Rooms include:
The Captain's Quarters - This bedroom has two twin over full bunkbeds
Sea Salt and Starfish - This bedroom has two full beds.
SeaEsta Lounge - This room includes two sofas and a flat screen TV.
It also has a breakfast bar with microwave, coffee maker, and mini fridge.

The ideal location is only 25 minutes from Provincetown and Hyannis for shopping, restaurants and ferries to the islands of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket.

Because the home is in a National Park... They don't allow stairs for direct access to the beach..... But beach access is just a walk away!

Cleaning service and landscaping are included in the price.

Some facts:

The iconic Nauset Lighthouse is at the start of Nauset Light Beach road. You'll drive by it on the way to the house, and pass it on your way to the beach. The Lighthouse is famous for not only guiding ships to shore, it is also prominently displayed an the bags of Cape Cod Potato chips.

The National Seashore was created in 1961 by President John F. Kennedy. There is an abundance of wildlife and several paved bike trails. The CCNS is protected from development: in the early years, the government had to purchase a significant number of privately-owned parcels of land, some already built upon, that lay within the boundaries of the area they wished to include. Nowadays, you won’t see new construction taking place within the CCNS.
You won’t find any restaurants along the shore, and off-road vehicles require a permit to penetrate the area. Camping permits and campfire permits are also required. Recreation is allowed, but it is moderated to prevent overuse and damage to the area.

Fun fact:
There is only one known attack on the United States in WWI and it was on the National Seashore. Sometime after the war, a mortar shell from a German U-Boat was found on Nauset Beach.

A wonderful spot!

We loved our Cape vacation in this beautiful location. The cottage is a really great place for a family holiday (we are 2 adults, 2 kids), with enough space for 1-2 adult guests staying over a few days too. Jim (the owner) couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful. We appreciated very much the warm welcome and definitely plan to return!

I've always dreamt about living on the ocean on Cape Cod. I never dreamt about being a rental owner! I bought this unique house so family, friends and myself could have a place to clear our minds and relax. I have a sign in the house that always reminds me why I bought this house... ''Collect Memories, not things''. I personally meet every guest when they arrive and walk them through the details and bore them with history of the area.

What is special about this property?
The house is on a bluff and thirty feet from the beach. There is a 180 degree view of the ocean and the oversized windows take advantage of that view. I describe it as being on the bow of the Titanic but on land.... minus the whole sinking thing of course. The house is very secluded in The National Seashore with only two other houses on the road. The lower level was the original structure and has the Cape Cod beach cottage feel. The second level was added later and has a more modern feel, with all new appliances, and all the amenities you would need. There are two life guard chairs I use to drink coffee and watch the sun rise, an over size deck to hang out and read, grill, and eat dinner.... And a fire pit for night time to just relax. There is very little light pollution.... So you can see all the stars at night.

What is special about your town?
Eastham is a small town on the outer Cape. There are almost no commercialized businesses, aside for I guess a Dunkins, which hey, it is still New England. All of the local restaurants and shops are run by people who love and care about the area and their guests. Everyone that comes from out of town is treated as if they live there. Ptown is just a 25 minute ride away. Hyannis is also just a 25 minute ride away if you want to catch a ferry to the islands for a day trip.
