We decided to head to the Cape for this year’s break. We had a fabulous nature week at the Cape. What topped it off was staying here. It was warm, toasty, and comfortable as we came home from walking the beaches each day. The home borders Campground Beach, and it was perfect viewing the sunset each night. If you’re looking for a place for a getaway, we highly recommend Blue Skies on the Half Shell!

What a wonderful time we had AGAIN! Our 4th year here at the "sun" house and we keep discovering more treasures in and out of your beautiful home. We can't wait to return again next year!

What a wonderful two weeks we had at Blue Skies! Swimming every day at high tide and walking the sand at low. Love the new chairs topside! Enjoyed sitting on the blue bench while grilling. Really liked going to Stewart's on Thursday nights the hear the Grab Brothers...what a great band! Didn't need to go to an ocean beach once. It's all here at Blue Skies on the Half Shell!

I found peace and serenity at your lovely cottage. The beautiful setting enhanced by your artful touch is not lost on me! I hope we can come again sometime.

This makes lucky number 13 for the number of years we've been indulging in July weeks at Blue Skies! This was the best year yet as our little Lyla is two years old now and the PERFECT age to enjoy the beach. Countless trips to Campground Beach in the wagon (filled with about a million beach toys) was on the "schedule" each day, as was a trip to Hole-in-One for the most delicious breakfast treats. Lots of time spent on the roof deck enjoying the great view of the bay. Can't wait to return next year! show more show less

I'm hoping it will be raining tomorrow -- it will be a bit easier to leave the Cape in the rain. Not that we saw any rain this week! The weather was perfect. We had a lovely week -- visited all our favorite haunts, ate too much and supported the local economy. Thanks for letting us share your cottage for a week that just flew by.

So enjoyed finally meeting you both. We're already counting the days 'till we return next year.

Gorgeous cottage on Campground Beach. Exquisite in every way: the decor, the perfect outdoor shower, the sturdy rooftop deck with sensor lighting for the evening, screened-in porch, great comfy beds with good mattresses, high speed WiFi, clean, sunny and well-lit. And to top it off, beautiful landscaping complete with baby bunnies hopping around the front yard amid the flowers. Quick & easy access to the beach, plenty of beach gear, great location and still a sense of privacy as it’s tucked away among the trees and plants. This was our second trip to Blue Skies and was as relaxing as the first. A lot of thought and energy has been poured into this cottage and the result is a true "No Worries" escape. You will have everything you need.

Make sure you check out the Cape Cod Guide in the binder. Even if you've been to the Cape many times in the past, it is an excellent reference that is routinely updated.

...not a scuzzy vacation “place to stay.” This was our first trip to Blue Skies on the Half Shell. It is, by far, the cleanest, best stocked cottage we have ever rented. We love to cook. There were pots and pans of many sizes, all with lids. All the window treatments were identical and worked well. The beds were comfortable and there were extra blankets. The owners provided a washer, dryer, and detergent for our use. The area is quiet and near the water. There is an upper, outside deck with chaises, chairs, and umbrellas. We spent hours and hours there talking, resting, and gazing at the water. After being out for the day, we looked forward to returning to the cottage, because it was so inviting. We can assure you that you will be pleasantly surprised if you choose to stay at Blue Skies. show more show less

It's only January and I'm already dreaming of our return to Blue Skies on the Half Shell 9 months from now. This cottage is truly a corner of Heaven. I've come to think of it as a home away from home. The cottage is well equipped with just about everything one could need down to dryer sheets for your laundry. It's conveniently located near services, restaurants, and shops. The beach is just a few steps away and the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. There is nothing to add to make this the perfect place for your family getaway!
