Description

**We are fully booked for summer 2024!**

Are you looking to relax in a modern and comfortable space? No cobwebs or dated decor here!

Spend your Cape Cod vacation in our fully renovated and absolutely beautiful Cape Cod home. Enjoy easy access to all that the National Seashore offers with walking paths, freshwater ponds, Salt Pond, and the famous Coast Guard Beach practically at your doorstep. Explore the Cape Cod Rail Trail on bike, blade, or foot - conveniently just around the corner. Take a long walk below the dunes of Nauset Light before a quiet dinner at a selection of nearby restaurants; local seafood, piping hot pizza, classic American, and delicious Mexican flavors are all within a two-minute drive. Venture south to Orleans for live music or north to Wellfleet for harbor-side oysters.

Our home is on a private road in a quiet residential neighborhood but is just a short hop to everything: art, beaches, excellent dining, shopping, and adventures. Pop in the water to surf or kayak, watch the seals, or head out on a paddle board - the outer Cape is yours to explore, with the outdoor shower waiting for you when it's time to rinse off!

Looking for a quiet retreat? Curl up on the couch with a book, pop open a bottle of wine, or relax on the huge screened-in deck. When the cool evening sea breeze rolls in, gather around the fire pit and lean back to watch for falling stars. Situated on just under an acre, we have fenced-in nearly half of the property and are a dog-friendly rental (please get in touch with us for details). Bringing the kids? The property abuts the local elementary school playground, has a tree-house with two slides and nearby access to a freshwater pond, and plenty of space to play.

With two bedrooms on the first floor connected by a full bath and an upstairs en-suite primary bedroom that practically sits you in the treetops, you'll be comfortable no matter where you lay your head down for the night. The first floor features an open layout with tall ceilings, two bedrooms, a full and half bath, easy access to the outdoor shower, and beautiful views of the yard on all sides. Upstairs is our Primary Suite with tons of space, an en-suite bathroom with a huge tile shower, and peeks of the pond to the south. The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, full refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, and a double sink. Enjoy a movie in the evening or access your streaming accounts on the TV. No need to worry about staying connected: we have wireless internet free of charge and a standing desk upstairs in case you need to squeeze in a little work.

Looking to beat the summer heat? Enjoy the central AC and shady yard. Enjoy the south-facing deck or stone patio for delightful afternoon sun before you toss dinner on the Weber gas grill. You won't find a nicer house in our price range, so why wait? Book your Cape Cod vacation today!

Have questions? Don't hesitate to ask! We'll reply promptly to all inquiries.

Additional Fees:
The cleaning fee is an additional $250. A $500 security deposit is required. We are a pet-friendly property, limited to 2 dogs per rent with an additional $100 per dog fee. Bookings are confirmed based on a 50% deposit and signed lease agreement).

Frequently Asked Questions:
1. Is your house on a busy road?
A: No! We are on a dirt/gravel road, and very little traffic passes the house.

2. Where is the best parking for Rail Trail Access?
A: Our driveway! It is less than 1/2 mile to the Rail Trail from the house, and you will not need to cross a major road for access. Have kids in tow for your ride? There is some parking just up the road at Arnold's restaurant (and ice cream!) There are also parking spots at Railroad Ave., and at the intersection of the Rail Trail on Brackett Rd.

3. Can we swim in the pond nearby?
A: Absolutely! There is convenient access to a sandy landing within a short walk (either on the road or through the woods, but beware of poison ivy!) The ponds are also lovely for a short paddle, canoe, or kayak. We recommend you check the town of Eastham website for information on algae/cyanobacteria blooms in the summer if you or your dogs will be swimming.

4. We love to cook; is your kitchen fully stocked?
A: We have provided everything you need to prepare meals, from basic hotdogs on the grill to a five-course gourmet meal; you'll have what you need! Plenty of pots, pans, knives, utensils, and serving ware are provided. We've stocked the house as a home (because that is what it is!) If you have a specific need in the kitchen, feel free to email me to find out more.

5. Will the fence keep my dog in?
A: Of course, every dog is different, but our fence is dog-tested, dog approved by our yellow lab and husky/pointer mix (not to mention countless furry friends). The fence is split-rail style with vinyl-covered metal garden fence stapled up to 3.5 feet high on all sides. Only you know your dog's habits and abilities, so please use your best judgment if you have a ''jumper'' or an escape artist! We also have several dog bowls, leashes, and pick-up bags if you forget yours, as well as a large crate.

6. What sizes are the beds?
A. We have two twins (singles) and 2two Queens. We also have twin and queen air mattresses if needed.

7. We don't want to bring sheets and towels - what are our options?
A. We recommend renting from Cape Cod Linen Rental for all your linen and beach equipment needs.

8. What do you have at the house for my kids?
A. You can find toys, books, puzzles, and games in the bedrooms and living room. The stairs are gated at the top and bottom, and you'll find plastic bowls and cups in the kitchen cabinets.

10. Does the rental include a beach pass?
A. While we cannot offer a ''transferable'' beach pass for each rental, the Eastham Sticker office is just down the street, and a pass does save you money. Please refer to the town's office directly for more information.

The house was very comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. The swing set was a bonus that entertained our kids. We had such a relaxing time, we didn't want to leave! Thanks to the hosts for letting us into and trusting us with their home.

Great house for family in Eastham
Our family stayed here for a week in June (adults in 30s to 60's, plus a 5 year old and infant) and dogs. The house is exactly as pictured. The main room is a great gathering place and the screened in porch is a where we spent a lot of our time. The yard is HUGE and the dogs loved it. There is an amazing swingset/jungle gym in the yard that the kids loved. Owners were very accommodating and communicative. Kitchen is very well stocked with pots, pans, tupperware, etc. Great location. We biked to the Coast Guard Beach and Kingsbury Beach and various biking paths. If you are fit, you can get around without a car. One thing to be aware of, the upstairs bedroom which is where the master bedroom is doesn't have a door (more of a loft style). show more show less

    Best Cape Escape
We had the most wonderful time visiting the Cape and staying in Jackie's home. From the moment we booked until we checked out, Jackie was a responsive and gracious host. She was kind, responsive, helpful and welcoming. And, her beautiful home is just perfect. It has everything you need. We took advantage of every aspect her home has to offer from the quick access to the ocean and bay sides of the Cape (via car or bike) to the use of family toys, the yard, the fire pit, the kitchen and the awesome screened in porch. It was truly perfect for us and we can't wait to return. show more show less

    Another blissful vacation
This was our fourth year staying in this beautiful, spacious, comfortable house, nestled in the trees on a quiet street yet only 5 minutes' drive from the National Seashore beaches. A great plus for us is that we can bring our dog, who loves to romp in the fenced-in yard and go swimming in nearby Minster Pond. The owners, Jackie and Devon, could not be more welcoming or helpful. All in all a perfect place for us. We wish we could stay all summer.

    Heaven in Eastham

We have rented several houses on the Cape over the years, and finally we've found The Perfect Place. Located on a quiet unpaved road, just a short drive from both ocean and bayside beaches and very close to the bike trail, this house has everything you need for a relaxing vacation: a large, shady, fenced-in yard with hammocks and a fire pit; a deck and grill; outdoor shower; even an herb garden.

The interior is spacious and elegantly furnished, with a wonderful open kitchen, three bedrooms, and a light-filled family room with a library of books and DVDs. The house has central air-conditioning for hot days, but it's even better when you can open all the windows and let the Cape breezes in.

It's pet-friendly, too, which we really appreciated, since it meant that we were able to bring our 14-year-old labrador retriever with us: she's no longer up to romping in the yard, but she loved walking on the beach and exploring the trails near Wiley Park. The owners are perfect hosts: they do everything to make you feel welcome, and respond quickly by email if you have any questions. We felt so completely at home that we didn't want to leave.

    Spring on the Cape

My husband and I and our labrador retriever rented the home in early June as a last minute getaway. I'm thrilled that we found such a nice house that allows pets. This wasn't a house that felt like there had been a lot of use by pets as it was very clean and had no dog smells! We loved the house and found it very comfortable and it had everything you could need. Outdoor space was great for our dog and the hammocks were a bonus. Location is prime, close to National Seashore beaches, restaurants, groceries and anything else you could want but in a quiet residential area and, as far as I'm concerned, the best location on the Cape. We've been going to the Cape for 20 years, and this is one of our favorite houses and and we would definitely go back. show more show less

    Great Beach House

We had a terrific time at #23875
This beach house was beautifully decorated , with nice landscaping, including an herb garden and a large fenced in back yard. It is an older home with personality, but everything was newly updated including the kitchen, windows, floors and bathrooms.

We enjoyed the location that is near beaches and bike trails, as we could ride our bikes directly to coast Guard Beach via the Coast Guard Beach Bike Trail, and to "Arnolds" to the Cape Cod Bike Trail. Eastham is our favorite location on the Cape, and I would recommend this beach house as a welcoming vacation destination. show more show less

One of the nicest houses that we've stayed in on the Cape....

Well-kept, clean, spacious, lovely home with great yard for our dog to run and fetch a ball. We loved sitting on the deck in the morning or early evening--very relaxing. Ideal location in Eastham as we were close enough for walking to trails and Salt Pond Visitor Center.

We are thrilled to share our home with summer visitors and have rented most summers from 2013 to today.

Jackie, the local of the household, was raised in Orleans, where her parents still live. Devon, our Canadian ''wash ashore'' made his way to the Cape after meeting Jackie in college. And while Finny was born in New Hampshire, she made her first trip across the bridge just a few weeks later and is a Cape Codder in her heart and soul (no matter what her birth certificate says).

Together, our family decided to continue our tradition of renting because we love sharing our special home with those who come to enjoy a small slice of the joy we feel year 'round.

We take great pride in our home and hometown and are very happy to answer questions, recommend a great place for dinner, or help you connect with a babysitter to make your vacation the best experience possible.

What is special about this property?
Our home, which we have always called ''Off Center'' (peek at the roof lines from the yard and you'll get it) is a uniquely magical place. When we first saw the property, it had been sitting empty for several years. Through the knee-high grass Jackie spotted a deep purple hydrangea growing close to the house in very little light - an unusual circumstance compared to the blues and whites you'll see lining so many sunny driveways around town. Something about that lovely purple sparked an adoration of this place that has never wavered.

Situated on 8/10ths of an acre abutting several acres of conservation property, you will find that the birds dominate the soundscape. Our home is a special place for families in particular, with a playground right in the yard and the schoolyard of Eastham Elementary School just up the hill. The dirt road that takes you here means that traffic is nonexistent and neighbors number only a few. Our 400-square-foot screened-in deck is both a comfortable outdoor living and dining room that you may never want to leave. The brave sometimes even sleep there and take in the sounds of coyotes in the distance late at night.

Inside, renters enjoy the open layout between the kitchen, dining, and living rooms so that the family and guests can enjoy each other's company throughout the day. Renters quickly feel right at home in our cozy space and for good reason. More than just a rental house, this is, in fact, a home, and you will quickly make it your own.

What is special about your town?
Eastham is, in many ways, the Cape Cod that current renters remember from their childhoods. Small and friendly, missing the hustle and bustle of other spots, Eastham is a place to slow down and take it all in.

Our neighborhood is on the edge of the National Seashore, with the visitor's center just a half mile down the road. Coast Gaurd and Nauset Light Beaches (on the ocean side) are just around the corner, easily accessible by car or bike. On the bay side, beaches are 4 -8 minutes away, depending on traffic and where you're choosing to spend the day. You really can't go wrong. There is no need to find parking if you're headed to the Cape Cod Rail Trail. Start your ride from the house, and you're just minutes from connecting toward Wellfleet or Orleans.

Though we're away from the hum of traffic, a few quick turns get you back to Route 6 for all of your adventurings; from great local dining to groceries and shopping, it's all right here. Let us know what you're looking to do, and we'll point you in the right direction.
