Large comfortable bayside house with great view

We just spent a lovely week at this gorgeous home in Eastham with our four kids, aged 2 to 15. The property was clean, well-equipped, is a very short walk to the private association beach and has an incredible roof deck, with the most gorgeous sunsets. Every night we enjoyed the recliners on the roof deck with some Welfleet oysters and a gin and tonic! The beach is particularly great, because at high tide it has easy waves and warm water, but at low tide it feels like you can walk a mile out into the bay. Our 2-year old particularly loved exploring the little tidal pools with the hermit crabs and minnows. Additionally, Joy was the consummate host - communicative, welcoming - a pleasure to deal with. Spent the week here as two couples and could not have had a better experience. The house has a great setup with two wonderful, large decks (including excellent ocean, sunset and night sky views from the roof), comfortable living and kitchen area plus two beds/baths on the main floor, and additional bedrooms on the first floor. Lots of space and comfortable throughout. Gas grill and outdoor shower were excellent, as was central AC for especially hot days. The beach is a very short walk down a private path located at the end of the driveway and even at high tide offers plenty of space to spread out. The owner was easy to work with, very responsive in communications and thoughtful in suggesting activities and nearby places to check out. We loved our stay and would love to return next year! show more show less

***** We were a family of three generations. The location could not have been more perfect!! Having the little ones, 3 1/2 and 14 months, and all their paraphernalia, going back and forth to the beach was quite easy. And both at high tide and low tide, the water was great for the children. I would go down every morning, with the older one, to see what we could discover. The first morning we went at 8, but the next morning we were down there at 7:15!! We both loved it! The set up of the house was just right. We had plenty of room to spread out and areas for alone time, in addition to three full bathrooms. Having the outside shower was an added bonus and loved by the children, especially! The owner was very easy to deal with and concerned about our happiness and comfort. ***** We were two families (4 adults and 5 kids under the age of 5) vacationing together. This house could not be in a more ideal location...the beach is perfect with its warm tidal waters and the sunsets were beautiful. Also, the house is located at the end of a quiet street and there's a dedicated sandy path leading to the beach, which made for safe and easy trips to the beach. As for the house itself, it had everything you needed and more. It was spotless upon entry and was very well equipped. The kitchen had nice appliances, the deck had a lot of seating and tables, along with a grill, and the family areas (one upstairs/one downstairs) had large screen TVs and plenty of couch/soft chair seating for times when you just wanted to relax. We also liked that there were plenty of full bathrooms - so the adults had their own bedrooms and full bathrooms and the kids had their own full bathroom. Plus, the kids got a kick out of the outdoor shower! Finally, the owners were very responsive and easy to deal with, making our trip that much more enjoyable. We highly recommend this house and are already looking forward to coming back next year! show more show less
