Surrounded by natural pines and overlooking a vernal pool, this charming home is within a mile of the bay, a freshwater pond, and the Cape Cod bike trail. Located on a cul-de-sac and surrounded by lush vegetation, it provides privacy, ample opportunities for birdwatching, and three decks for relaxing with friends and family.

Enter the first floor to find a living room with partially vaulted ceiling, kitchen with dining area leading to a deck overlooking a vernal pool. A spacious family room with high beamed ceilings and a window air conditioner, and a full bathroom with tub complete this level.

The second floor has a hallway overlooking the living room and leads to two bedrooms to the right; one with a queen bed and one with two twin beds. Both have window air conditioning units. To the left there is a full bathroom with shower. The third bedroom has a skylight and sliders leading to a private deck overlooking the backyard.

There is an additional ground level deck and an enclosed outdoor shower.

Amenities include: Three window air conditioning units, wireless internet, flat screen tv with Roku, new electric stove, dishwasher, microwave, drip coffee maker, portable fans for every room, washer and dryer in the basement, gas grill, outdoor seating and beach chairs. Sheets and towels are not provided.

This house is located 9 tenths of a mile from Kingsbury Beach on the bay or Wiley Park at Great Pond, 3.5 miles to Coast Guard Beach, Cape Cod National Seashore, on the ocean, 8 tenths of a mile to the Cape Cod bike trail off Kingsbury Beach Road, 3 miles to the Wellfleet Cinemas, Flea Market and Drive-In theater, and 6 miles from the center of Orleans.

    Wonderful escape

    We had a wonderful time in this lovely home, beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean, and located in a quiet wooded area and conveniently located for shops and restaurants. There were three different outdoor areas where we could enjoy the view with full privacy. The interior was lovely and much more roomy than the photograph might indicate, at once cozy and spacious. We will definitely return if time allows and appreciate, too, our easy welcome from our hosts.

    A cozy, warm cottage close to beaches and ponds

    We stayed at this cottage in September of last year, and had a wonderful time. The beds are very comfortable and there are lots of couches and comfortable chairs to sit on. It feels very homey and welcoming and very Cape Cod. It is in a beautiful setting with a deck overlooking a vernal pool, which varies with the seasons; sometimes it is a meadow and sometimes it is a pond. There are air conditioning units in bedrooms and downstairs in the living room. There's lots of places for guests to sleep. It really was a special time for us staying there and I think other renters will find it to be the same experience. show more show less

    Wonderful!

    This home was spacious, clean and very close to many beaches, a local swimming pond and the bike path. We really enjoyed being able to walk to the Bay side beach and also having access to the National Sea Shore. The house itself had plenty of room for all of us and Allen and Louise provided everything we could need for our stay and more. There is an outside shower which was very useful and three decks to relax on. We liked grilling out on the back deck and relaxing in the den/extra living room in the evenings. Next time we come we will invite our friends to join us because there was plenty of room for more people! We will definitely return here. show more show less
