Enjoy being close to the beach. A short walk will bring you to one of three beaches on Nantucket Sound. There will be no need to obtain a parking permit and fight the traffic trying to get into the beach parking lot.

Thacher Beach (1/10 mile). Bring your towel and beach chair and head on down for a quick swim.

Seaview Beach (2/10 mile). Not only enjoy the beach but also the pine grove where you can set yourselves up and have a picnic.

Parker’s River Beach (3/10 mile). This beach is directly across the street from The Skipper restaurant and ice cream stand. If you have children there is a playground. Bathrooms and a concession stand complete the picture.

After a day at the beach come back and wash away all the sand and salt in the outdoor shower and relax and have a drink on the outdoor patio. Or, if you prefer, stretch out in the living room and watch some TV and take a break from the sun.

This cottage is centrally located to many of the area’s offerings. Head out onto Route 28 and you will have plenty of choices to choose from; from restaurants, to activities such as mini-golf, gift shops, ice cream, grocery & liquor stores.

You can walk to the Jet Ski and parasailing located at the Red Jacket. A short drive to Hyannis and you can catch a ferry going to Martha’s Vineyard or Nantucket for the day. Or if you prefer, a drive up the coast to visit the Cape Cod National Seashore and all the way up to Provincetown.

Location really is everything and this summer cottage will not disappoint.
