As this cottage in Dennis Village is in the ''Mid Cape,'' it is close to everything - all water activities, fishing, boating and swimming. Plus golf, museums, antiquing, baseball, movie theaters, the Cape Cod playhouse, and wonderful wonderful restaurants.

Peaceful, quiet, quaint north of 6A on a private dead end lane. The beach is a short, level walk of 5 minutes (2/10 of a mile) to the private residence-only part of Mayflower beach.

This loving maintained cottage with 12x14 wood deck( umbrella,glass table- 6 chairs plus a child's table with 2 chairs) air conditioning and a new gourmet kitchen (whisks- garlic press -graters - lobster pot and on the refrigerator door assorted spices for your use) has Queen sized Master Bedroom with its own 1/2 bath plus twin sized second bedroom.

The ample 3 side fenced yard boasts hot and cold shower - BBQ area with chairs and table for a cocktail or two while cooking on the Weber grill. Large clothes line for all your wet beach attire.

Beach Chairs and Buggie are supplied for your use at the beach.

Truly a Vacation made in Heaven!!!!!

Perfect

Perfect is the only way to describe this meticulous cottage. The location, cleanliness, amenities, exceeded our expectations. A two-minute walk to beautiful Bayview beach. Everything you need is located within minutes from the cottage. The most incredible sunsets/sunrises on Cape Cod. Even during these trying times with Covid, Barbara made sure the cottage had everything we needed. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful vacation home!

This cottage is clean and well appointed. The spacious, green, and shady backyard was a lovely surprise and perfect for morning yoga! But the star, of course, is beautiful Bayview Beach just around the corner, part of my favorite stretch of beach on Cape Cod and one of my favorite places in the world. I loved staying here and hope to return many times in the future!

Great cottage

We have rented this cute cottage for a week every summer for about 8 years. We love how close the walk is to the beach. Bayview beach is a lovely beach where the tide goes out very far and give the kids lots of room to run and play. We also like that their is a nice shady back yard to play in when not at the beach. The cottage is small but it had everything you need including a second bathroom and an updated kitchen. It is always very clean when we arrive and this year felt very safe and clean. We hope to come back each summer. show more show less

Great Location!

We recently stayed at Barbara's adorable cottage, which is very well furnished and offers all you need for a great beach vacation! The location is so convenient with access to great restaurants, shopping and best of all the 5 minute walk to the beach! Looking forward to next year.

Second year stay

Once again, we had a delightful stay at this lovely cottage near the beach!! The location is amazing. Given the implications around Covid this year, we took full advantage of the beach with sunset picnics. We're already looking forward to going back next year!

Lovely Vacation

We had a great time and really enjoyed the cottage. The location is fantastic! So close to the Mayflower/Bayview Beach, nice porch and lovely backyard...perfect for our family. I look forward to renting the cottage again in the future :)

Beautiful cottage

This cottage was just perfect for my family of four. It had everything we needed and was neat and clean, inside and out, with a comfortable deck area and beautiful landscaping. Also the outdoor shower was a hit with all of us.

The best part of the cottage however is its super close location to the beach, easily walkable. Also the street itself is nice and quiet with almost no traffic, despite being so close to the beach.

We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Location

Wonderful location a short walk to beautiful Bayview beach. Cozy pristine cottage perfect setting for carefree vacation. Everything you might need is located within minutes from the cottage. Casual, fine dining, theater, ice cream, market and the most incredible sunsets on Cape Cod. JCB

Loved This Cottage!

My family and I rented Barbara's cottage in Dennis for one week, and wish we had taken it for two weeks. The cottage was perfect for us—adorable, clean, had everything we needed, including an outdoor shower. AND, it was a two minute walk to the beach which is exactly what we wanted for a summer vacation home. I can't wait until next summer!

Although I am a native Long Islander, I spent all my summers vacationing on Cape Cod with my parents. I went to Endicott College in Beverly and later worked at Jordan Marsh in Boston as an associate buyer, again spending summers on the Cape. After moving to San Francisco, I would come East to vacation on the Cape. My parents moved to their dream retirement home in the 70's so again a place to stay on the Cape!!

My husband got transferred to New York, and so back to Long Island - now a time to buy a cottage of my own on the Cape!!

What is special about this property?
After spending my childhood vacationing on Cape Cod every summer at the Bay Sands View Cottages in Dennis (which is now Mayflower Beach) I wanted to be as close as possible to all those wonderful memories of my youth. The cottage that I selected has brought me much joy over the years and Mayflower/Bayview beach area is still as peaceful as it was all those years ago.

To me the best part of the cottage is that it is on a rural country lane, but in fact only about 500 feet to the most beautiful beach on Cape Cod Bay!! There are no stairs to the beach and the sunsets are breathtaking!!

What is special about your town?
A nice walk along a country road from the cottage will end at 6A with the Dennis Market, the ice cream shop, many, many great restaurants, the village green with a wonderful old New England church, and all sorts of stores for shopping.

A bit further is the oldest summer stock playhouse in the country - a dream Victorian building with current plays and children's activities .On the same field - the Cinema with a WPA ceiling has the newest foreign and indie movies - next door is the Cape Museum brimming with local artists, past and present.

You can leave your car in the driveway - walk to the beach - walk to the village of Dennis to shop - eat - go to the theater etc - etc
