Very nice location! First thing I noticed was this house is clean and nicely decorated. When we were at the house we spent most of our time outside looking at the view. Neighbors were friendly. We enjoyed eating lunch at the Summer Shanty a couple of days. Shrimp Po boy is fantastic. If you haven't been to Captain Parker's you're missing out on the best clam chowder.
The beds were comfortable. The outdoor shower is nice.
Kitchen was well equipped with everything you need.
Lisa and Glenn have a beautiful home and the location is perfect! Would love to come back!

Our family spent a week at Lisa's home in April and loved it. It is located on a very quiet cul-de-sac next to the water and the view is amazing. There is a space to launch kayaks and SUPs as well as a pier for fishing. The home itself is immaculately maintained - we like to cook and we especially appreciated that it was one of the few rental homes with an entire set of Le Creuset cookware! Highly recommended for a very relaxing and enjoyable vacation - we will be back.

Wheatfield is our haven on the Cape. The cottage on Wheatfield is a comfortable, well appointed, charming beach home. This recently updated house is beautifully appointed with soft colors of blues and whites. There are televisions in every room and the wi-go works well. Three bedrooms with comfortable bedding. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and cooking pans. The views of the Bass River are awesome as you sit on a comfortable chair looking out the the windows with your morning coffee or late day cocktail. And oh the outdoor shower is wonderful, rain or shine. There is a washer and dryer available. The location is perfect a few miles from the beach and stores. Let's not forget the bike paths even closer than the grocery store. We plan to return to this haven on the Cape.

This home exudes tasteful comfort, attention to detail & fantastic location, making our shirt getaway perfect! From the tableware, Le Creuset pots & pans to high quality towels & bedding, it is clear that this home would be so perfect for a family vacation. We loved exploring Dennis and found great beaches without traveling far. This home is highly recommended!

We had a wonderful time at this lovely home right on the Bass River. The house had been completely remodeled and unlike other homes we have rented everything we needed was right there waiting for us. During the day we could sit on the comfortable chairs by the water or around a fire pit close to the home. The house also came with a full array of boards, paddles and kayaks that were easy to just push right into the river. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals but found great seafood restaurants just 10 minutes away and therefore didn't take advantage of the fully supplied kitchen as we might have but we loved on of the restaurants (which was outdoors with umbrellas and pick nick tables and surrounded by a marina that we went there six times for dinner. The only thing I would have done differently would have been to either bring or rent a small 16 or 17 foot boat with a 50 hp motor just to be able to boat up and down the river on beautiful hot mornings or cooling late afternoons. The proprietors greeted us on our arrival and oriented us not just to the house but to the area which was incredibly helpful and added a very nice touch to our stay.

Loved... loved this property! This wonderful cottage sits tucked away overlooking Grand Cove and the Bass River. The views from the house were amazing! The house was beautifully decorated, furnished and stocked with all the essentials for a great stay. The garage was perfect to store our bikes and play ping-pong! We used the outside gas firepit on many evenings as well as cooked on the gas grille. The outside shower was wonderful.
We used the kayaks and paddle boards, which was such a nice amenity to have available to use. Overall, a delightful time. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely Beautiful property on Bass River. Lots to do both on the river (swim, kayak, paddle board) and at the property (ping pong, watching the birds in the conservation area, or gazing at the fire pit with the river in the background). We feel so lucky to have been able to rent there. The owners have everything covered - the house is very well equipped with all the things you need for a wonderful week! Highly recommend!

Our group of four adults found this spacious cottage to be comfortable and convenient for our week exploring the Cape. The property is lovely and the views are gorgeous. There is plenty of outside and inside seating and the area is very quiet. The kitchen and bathrooms are very clean and updated. The cottage is light and airy and nicely decorated. Having two en-suite bedrooms is perfect for two couples traveling together. The mid Cape location made day trips to both ends of the Cape very easy. The game area in the garage is a great option for rainy days and the washer and dryer (also located in the garage) are huge! The hosts are very accessible and were responded quickly to the few questions we had during our stay.
The kayaks and paddle boards located just outside the front door on the river would have been fantastic to use - the weather during our stay was on very cool and windy so we opted not to go out on the water.
There is a grocery store a short drive away and it is close to Cuffy's if you are looking for clothing with Cape Cod logos. We enjoyed the Sea Dog Brew Pub in nearby South Yarmouth. It's an easy drive to get to the ferries to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard as well as the boats for Whale Watch tours.
We had a very relaxing stay here and highly recommend this property!

We had a wonderful time staying at this property on the cape! You will not be disappointed if renting this place, it has everything you need! Lisa was very easy to communicate with and super hospitable upon our arrival and departure, my mom loved the welcome goodies!
The house, it is beautifully decorated, clean, and comfortable. The spacious kitchen has everything you would need and all updated appliances, cookware, etc.. The living room/sunroom was so nice to just sit in to relax and look out at either the marsh or the river, very relaxing. There are just so many areas on the property to relax and unwind whether swinging in the hammock, out back on chairs by the marsh or the outdoor couches and firepit (gas powered) in the front.
Access to provided kayaks was a major plus, being able to wake up and just go out the front door to kayak the river was fantastic. There are also SUPs but we did not use. The back garage became a popular place at night for ping pong and dart tournaments between the adults as well. The location of the house was close to beaches and other attractions, so it was easy to get to and from.
Some other perks are the gas grill (piped into the gas line so no need to worry about tanks!), outdoor shower, on a semi-private road so it's quiet, good amount of parking, friendly neighbors, keyless entry, really good wifi (I had to unfortunately work most of the trip so this came in handy!), comfortable linens, beach towels, washer/dryer, central air and heat, and there is like a TV in every room.
Overall, it was a great Mother's Day getaway for my mom and sisters. We enjoyed every minute of it and a lot of it is thanks to the house we picked! Lisa and Glen, thank you again for opening your home to us!

We had the most delightful visit at this beautifully appointed cottage.
The decor is lovely and comfortable. Everything you need in the kitchen is there, and it's pretty high quality, especially for a rental.
The location is perfect and the view of Bass River, from the living room windows, is priceless.
The owners are very easy to deal with and extremely accommodating. We will be back and we will definitely be recommending to our friends and family. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!

Our stay on Bass River was so wonderful that we knew would be returning for future vacations. The house is decorated beautifully, well-equipped, clean, cozy, airy and welcoming and the location is beyond outstanding! The lane is very private with virtually no traffic. The owners offer kayaks, a detached garage filled with fun activities for a rainy day, a terrace with comfortable furniture and fire pit, a sitting area with Adirondack chairs and a hammock overlooking the Bass River and a deck with a view of a marsh on the side of the house. The owners were terrific to work with and were responsive to our questions or concerns. We look forward to spending more time at this lovely spot.

The Waterfront Bass River Getaway is spectacular.

From the moment you drive down the lane, with views of Bass River, private and serene - a perfect vacation destination.

The home is perfectly decorated with the right mix of quaint and comfortable. And it's immaculate! The kitchen is fabulous, spacious and stunning with everything you could ever need - from gourmet coffee maker, to cookware, appliances, and kitchen gadgets - it's all there. (I have to add, I loved the blue and white mugs - don't you just love a nice mug for your morning coffee?! And nice wine glasses, it's those little touches that are so important!)

The bedrooms were perfect, really comfortable beds, plenty of blankets and linens. And there are even extra beach towels if you need them. The outside shower is a must for a Cape vacation. So, we never used the inside shower, but the bathrooms were perfect. And an available washer and dryer was super convenient.

The home offers fantastic outdoor spaces; across the lawn, overlooking the water were Adirondack chairs and hammock, a little patio just outside the front door with comfortable outdoor sectional & gas fire pit - perfect for enjoying evenings outside, and gas grill with outdoor seating.

The best part of this home are the beautiful views, to the front and side of the property. Opening the shades in the morning, to see the water - is the perfect start to your day. Then step outside with your coffee in the morning, head across the lawn to the water. Perfection.

Rt 28 is oh so close, providing you quick access to all you could ever need - groceries, restaurants, shops, marina, beaches and Cuffy's! Hyannis and Mayflower Beach (our favorite beach) are an easy drive across Cape. Smugglers is just a few miles. Sesuit Harbor Cafe in Dennis is BYOB, cash only, but the sunset is amazing. Our hosts were so quick to respond to questions and incredibly welcoming and accommodating, which made getting there and settling in a breeze. They shared lots of little hints to make our stay even more spectacular. Like renting a boat on Bass River, and heading to the Summer Shanty for a cocktail or dinner - literally around the corner - was a great tip.

I am now completely spoiled and can't imagine going anywhere else. Lisa, Elizabeth and their families have been really great hosts and have a beautiful home on Bass River.

Our family had the best week in this newly renovated home. Super clean with amazing amenities and let us not forget the view! Teenage boys played, pool, ping pong, darts and kayaked every day! Access to the private beach was fantastic for swimming, fishing and crabbing - out door shower and gas fire pit was a huge perk! LOVED! Will definitely be back!

The week flew by.. we had an amazing time exploring the cape. Location is hard to beat as this place is near everything. We also loved everything you could do at the house! We went kayaking several time (even saw a couple of seals in the cove) & took advantage of the game room on a couple of rainy days, the kids loved the pool/ping pong table & dart board. Making s'mores on the pit to end the day...

The house is very clean & well supplied. Elizabeth is such a great host as well, super helpful & accommodating.

We'd love to come back in the future...
